The stomach ache that has been bothering Noah for the last hour has begun to be unbearable as the male squirmed around in the soft sheets. After another few seconds of torture, he pushed the blankets to the side with a long grunt. Getting out of the king-sized bed he dragged himself over to the covered window before pushing the blinds to the side letting the moonlight illuminate the spacious room. Noah knew that uncovering the blinds was quite a reckless thing to do, Izabelle told him this many times.

'One time you forget to cover it back during the night next you come back into the room when the sun has risen and you disintegrate on the spot!' The ghost lady always reiterated. But at that moment Noah didn't really care for it, the unbearable pain in his stomach was not giving any signs of calming down and he desperately needed fresh air. He stood up on his tiptoes and unclasped the lock on the window making the two frames let out a long quiet squeak as they swung open.

The male smiled to himself as he inhaled the cold, night air, his gown flying up a little with the breeze. Looking up at the murky sky, his attention was immediately taken by the bright moon that shone proudly amongst the darkness.

"It's a beautiful night isn't it?"

Someone's voice made the young male almost fall backward, he quickly looked around with a slight panic only for his gaze to settle on a crow that landed on the left frame of his wide-open window.

"E-Excuse me…?" Noah whispered to the bird as the animal cocked its head to the side.

"What? Don't you think the night is beautiful? You were gazing up at the moon with such fondness in your eyes I was sure you liked it."

"Yeah… it is quite wonderful. I was more surprised at the fact, that you could speak…"

The crow ruffled its feathers, a slight gleam of interest sparking up in its beady eyes. "Oh, you're not from around here, are you? Well, I should have guessed that from the lack of sharp teeth or not fully red eyes you're not a vampire…at least not yet…"

Noah nodded. "Everyone tells me that…"

The bird let out a laugh, or at least that's what the boy thought it was. It sounded more of a raspy cackle, like someone was chocking.

The crow flew down, resting directly inform of the young male, its claws hooking onto the frame of the window. "Who's your elder?"

Noah was quite taken aback by the blunt question but after a few seconds answered with hesitation: "The owner of this Castle."

The crow's eyes seemed to widen even further "You can't be serious…"

"Well, …i am…" The boy answered, pointing at the deep marks on his exposed neck

The animal looked baffled as it again cocked its head to the side, looking up at Noah with one of its beady orbs. "To think that…the only child of Elils root would actually…"

"Elils root?"

"You…dont know much about the history of vampires don't you?"

All the boy could do was shake his head, he was completely in the dark when it came to these topics.

"Well…like all families it started with two people. Inanna and Enlil, they were the first vampires that ever lived on earth. Then these two split up and turned others into vampires, creating two bloodlines. Most vampires are of the Inannas root since there were a lot of them but Enlil…Enlil was said to have only one descendant."

"And that descendant…" Noah whispered.

The bird nodded its head. "That descendant is your elder.…which…if what you're saying is true… would mean that they are no longer the only one of Enlil's bloodline."
