Noah pushed apart his lids, gazing at the center of his eye that reflected itself off of the empty golden cup he held between his fingers. The deep red color formed around his eyeris in a dull crismon ring that seemed to burn slightly every time he closed his eyes.

The boy exhaled heavily, putting the container back onto the table.

"You feeling okay kid?" Clare asked, tiredly gazing up at the male from her own breakfast that consisted of a handful of crackers and a cup of cold coffee, probably from night before.

"Y-Yeah...its just kind of weird seeing so much change in my appearance." Noah breathed out, eyes falling back onto his untouched meal.

"Well, its a part of the process." The old looking lady shrugged her shoulders, biting into the piece of bland biscuit as it immediately broke against her sharp teeth.

Noah scratched the back of his head "Elder Clare...i know that we are far from civilization but...what if people find out about us?"

The vampire raised her eyebrow "Hm?"

"I mean. If there are more of those wild vampires that attack left and right, it's not hard to imagine what they would do to a village or a whole city. A word might spread around, people will panic. I don't think 'the lost ones' have a concept of staying in hiding."

Clare put the rest of her bland treat into her mouth, chewing it for a few seconds before dusting off her hands. "Don't think that all we do is sit around and drink, kid. We have already begun investigating a few days ago, in fact, Diety went out last night."

"Oh, ...i didn't know that." Noah breathed out, he smiled slightly feeling the weight lift off of his shoulders.

"Don't bother yourself, Noah. Leave it to the beings that have been alive for more than hundreds of years." She took a swing of her coffee, a grimace soon twisting her face. "Bitter." The vampire muttered under her breath.

The two got interrupted as the marble door to the room opened and a person's steps filled the half-empty hall.

"Elder Diety, it's good to see you're-" Clares greeting was cut short almost in an instant, the thick odor of rotten blood spiking the air around them making the lady's pupils dilate dangerously.

Diety stood there, her body was relaxed, slightly slouched to the side as crismon trickled from the wound in her stomach down to the ground. Her eyes were half-lidded, Noah could bearly see them behind the curtain of her white eyelashes.

"I...ugh-" The older looking woman cleared her throat, it looked like the smell floating in the air was burning her eyes. "Are you...okay?" It was a foolish question but there really was no other thing she was able to utter out.

To Noah's further shock Diety smiled, it was a cunning grin that made the boy's stomach flip as if signaling danger.

"I'm fine. The wounds are healing fast~" the female giggled a little at the end of her statement, cocking her head to the side unnaturally. "I managed to slay five of those bastards...but one of them got to me..." she gritted her teeth, sharp canines bulging out of her gums.

"Those... bastards?" Noah breathed out. "Elder...do you mean 'the lost ones?"

The female started giggling until it transpired into a full laugh, the wound in her body bleeding further from the jolts her rib cage made.

"I'm hungry..." She growled deeply.

"Shit..." Clare cursed under her breath. "Noah don't come near her!" She stood up her sharp gaze planted on the wounded female like she was looking at a wild animal.
