In the dark woods, the various bugs never seemed to grow tired of buzzing, their quiet toons blending into each other to form a soft melody that swayed through the brisk air and between the old trees.

Owl had no trouble walking despite the darkness that grew around him like the various plants decorating the scenery, pitch-black shadows more of a mist that the male was able to push apart with his eyes. Dark vision for short.

The only glow flaring up was the tip of the vampire's cigarette, that pulsated with orange light alongside the rhythm of the male's heart as he took in another long, shallow breath before excelling the fume with his nose.

Owl was a simple yet complicated man. He wore his heart on his sleeve, always telling what he thinks, not being afraid to voice his own opinions despite how many times it got him in trouble. On the other hand, he seemed cold and distant, closed off from the warmness of the world, the only light that ever sparked in his eyes was that of a newly lit up match as it made contact with his cigarette. Immediately clouded by a burst of smoke.

Squeezing past the old decaying bark and moss the male stopped in the midst of a larger clearing, a gigantic tree looming over him, at least three times larger than the other wooden titans that grew through the forest.

Taking out the cigarette from between his lips the male dropped or onto the barer part of the ground making sure to squish it well until it sizzled out completely. "Hope someone will answer..." Owl murmured, as he walked up to the tall wooden structure, hopping onto the large roots that sprung out of the ground. The male felt the tree pulsate underneath him, it wasn't breathing like all the others rather it was kept alive by the power of another mythical being. Or rather beings.

As he came close to the old, rusty bark he reached out his hand knocking three times. Silence fell around him. Even the chiming of the grasshoppers dimmed for a second before the male knocked another two times, finishing off with one quieter bump against the wood.

Something inside started to stir. A sound that moved through the very inner part of the tree before moving upwards and forward. It sounded like a swarm of bees, it was, however, more harmonious and reminded Owl of small chiming bells.

Three tiny sparks of light bloomed out of the very top of the wooden giant before diving down towards the vampire who was waiting patiently bellow.

On instinct, the male reached out his hand and it didn't take long before two of those sparks landed right onto his arm, the third placing itself on top of his shoulder.

"Friends of the forest. It's good to see you." Owl stated, trying to adjust his eyes to the sudden brightness the three tiny bodies raided

"Greetings." A tiny voice whispered right into his ear, the male had to adjust his head to see the speaker fully. Fairies were small human-like creatures, with three fingers, large eyes and no nose. That particular one which invited themselves onto his shoulder had long, white hair that contrasted well with their pink, blueish skin and a pair of almost translucent wings springing out of their back.
