"-ohmygoodnessithoughtiwasgoingtodie-" the witch broke out into a ramble, practically slumping to her knees in front of Owl and the faun.

She hugged her staff closely and smiled widely at the two creatures. "Thank you so much for saving me!" The witch saw a flash of surprise illuminate the vampire's features, he looked like he didn't trust her at all, his body language defensive.

"Oh, that's right! I forgot to introduce myself! Ugh, this is so embarrassing-" the woman scrambled up to the albino and reached out her hand towards him. "My given name is Amare and I come from the Kammani branch! I'm a wind wielder in training!"

The vampire looked at her extended hand with knitted eyebrows before his gaze picked back up onto her face, sending her a distrustful glare.

Did she do something wrong?

The faun next to him quickly stepped in front of her, taking the witch's hands in her rough ones. "It's a pleasure to meet you Amare of the Kammani branch. May I ask, what caused you to visit our humble forest?"

The purple-haired magician's eyes widened in realization. "Oh, that's right! All the others must be worried about me! Oh, how on earth did I get lost so easily!?" She covered her mouth with her hand before looking around frantically. "Not to mention I lost my dragon and now I don't have transport!"

"You lost your dragon?"

"Ah, this is so embarrassing!" By now the woman covered her entire face with her hands and sunk to her knees. "My teachers will be so disappointed in me..."

The faun scratched the back of her head awkwardly as she leaned down to pat the female on her back "Can't the other witches detect your powers?"

"Of course not. Doing that would require them to directly imprint on my staff and you can't do that to another witch. It's an invasion of privacy." "The purple-haired woman mumbled.

"Well, if they did "invade your privacy" maybe then you wouldn't be lost." The vampire next to the faun grumbled, wiping his hands on the side of his striped pants, covering them in blotches of dull red.

Amare pressed her lips together awkwardly.

"I'm sure if you try hard enough you can find your dragon or whatever and return to your little witch la-la land." The albino continued, taking out his shirt that was tucked in his pants before wiping his face with it. Amare because of it noticed that the vampire's stomach was covered in moles much like his face.

"Owl, don't you want to try and help her?" The faun asked.

He twisted his face into a scowl, sending the witch a glare. "No."

"Wha-! Why!?! Did I do something wrong? Why are you being so cold to me?" The woman started panicking, clenching the staff between her fingers.

The vampire looked around as if he wasn't believing that what she said was real which made the woman even more uneasy. "Are you serious or are you just playing games with me to try and get what you want?"

Amare looked at him confused. "I-'m not sure what you're talking about. Why would I do such a thing?"

At that point, the male was staring at her as if she has gone insane. "Vampires and witches! You know- like- You know!" He waved his hand around, stopping mid-sentence as if waiting for her to finish it.

She cocked her head to the side oblivious to whatever he was implying.

The vampire's white eyebrows knitted together. "Did...did they not tell you about it?"

"About what?"

The faun next to Owl pressed her lips together, she also looked confused but not because of what the male was saying but rather the witch's lack of understanding.
