Georges pov
I shoved the Polaroid in my pocket.
She loves me back?! After 9 years of me loving her, she loves me back! Holy shit!
B-b-but I think I just fucked every thing.
Oh no.
I ran outside of the diner.
I ran to the pavement I saw her run down the pavement. I yelled.
"I love you to polyester!!"
But she left.
No I'm not loosing her.
I ran as fast as I could.
I looked around the corner but she was gone.
Gone.
Gone.
The word repeated in my head.
What have I done?!
I held my hair.
"Shit."
I mumbled.
I felt a sharp pain shoot to my head.
"Oi!"
Paul had hit me over the head.
"Nice one mate!"
I frowned.
"Paul what do I do?!"
He looked at me.
"You really like her don't you?"
I smiled slightly.
"Paul I love her."
His eyes widened.
"Well then you need to find her!"
I nodded and ran down the path.
Across corners, down alley's. Through shops.
I basically went all through penny lane.
I ran at a wall and kicked it.
I was near the Liverpool junkyard and a coffee shop.
What have I done?
I was beating myself up mentally until I heard a loud crash.
It came from the junkyard.
I was reluctant to go see but I did.
I peeked through the trees, my mouth dropped.
I saw Polly and John. Polly was bashing up a beetle.
I was about to run out there until.
"Fuck!"
Smash!
"You!"
Smash!
"George!"
Smash!!
The car feel down.
My heart broke.
"Fuck you George."
Yeah fuck me.
"fuck George!"
John said.
"Yeah fuck george!"
He repeated.
"Fuck you george!"
Polly also repeated.
"Fuck you george!!!"
John screamed.
I walked backwards.
"No no no no no...."
I mumbled.
I feel backwards. Hitting my head on the pavement.
I looked to my left. I swear I could see a younger me and younger polly, lying on the pavement. I remember that. I tripped over. Polly feel on top of me.
I shook my head. They were gone.
I got up. Another sharp pain shoot to my head.
I held it. I brought my hand back up.
There was blood all over it.
My eyes widened.
I ran down streets again.
-
I ran back to Polly's house.
I sat on her porch, hoping she'd come back soon.
But hours passed. I just sat there. I heard the door open.
"George?"
"Polly?"
I shook my head to adjust my vision it was her mum.
"No uh its me her mother..."
I nodded.
"Sorry."
"That's ok..."
I smiled half heartedly.
"Do you want to come in, it's freezing out there."
I nodded.
She lead me into the house.
I haven't been here in a while so memories shot back into my head.

Flash back.

"Polllllyyyyy!"
"George!!!"
Polly ran down stairs and smiled when she saw George.
"Come on then let's play!"
She nodded.
George sat on the ground playing with some toy trucks.
Polly joined him.
"I love playing with you georgie!"
George frowned.
"Stop calllinnnggg me that!!"
"Not until you stop calling me polyester!"
"Never!"
"Well then Georgie, guess your going to have to fix your attitude..."
Polly crossed her arms and looked the other way.
"Polly?"
George shook her crossed arms.
"Polly!"
She shook her head.
"No George I'm ignoring you."
She whispered.
"Oh ok."
He whispered back.
"Ok I'm done ignoring you now."
He smiled.
"Good..... Polyester."
She rolled her eyes
"Ugggghhhh"
Flashback done.

"So geroge..."
Polly's mum broke me out of my day dreaming.
"Yeah?"
"Why were you on the front porch?"
I frowned and looked down at my tea.
"Just waiting for Polly to c-come home."
I choked on my words.
"Well it's strange she should be back by now. I'll be back just need to finish the cleaning. Make yourself at home."
I nodded.
"Thank you."
She smiled and left the room.
-
I walked up to her room.
I smiled.
Flash back
1951
"George?"
"Yes Polly?"
The two were lying on Polly's bed staring at the ceiling. They usually did this.
"Do you want to get married?"
"I don't know Polly do you?"
She turned to face him.
"Yes! But I don't want to be a house wife. No way!"
"Fair enough."
"Hey maybe we could get married?"
Polly asked.
"Yeah we should get married."
George laughed.
"No seriously George."
"Well then."
George got up and plopped off Polly's bed.
He gave her his hand.
He got down on one knee. Polly held her chest.
"Will you Polly Anne Matthews, do me George Harrison the honour of becoming my wufe?"
Polly clapped her hands and brought George up and hugged him.
"Yes, yes I will!
They both cracked up laughing and fell to the floor.
Flash back done.

George walked in the room. He smiled at some of the pictures of Polly plastered on the walls. Some George were on.
He swiped his index finger over there faces.
He let one single tear slip.
He walked over to her desk.
He opened the drawer and brought a piece of paper and a pen out.
He wrote a note for her.

Dear Polly,
What have I done. What have I done. I'm a rightful twat. Listen Polly I've loved you since we were 8, remember when I asked you to marry me, you said yes. Remember when I took you out for your birthday? Remember when you got me that guitar. We've been friends since preschool. Since we were 7.
I couldn't tell you how much I love you.
I've fucked up big time. I think your the most beautiful girl Alive, with your blonde hair, your blue eyes. Your cute freckles. Polyester I love you. Always have always will. Please forgive me. But like I said and I'll say it again You mean the world to me Polly.
I'm sorry.
Love, your georgie.
xxx
I put the pen down, I put the note on her desk and left the room.
I thanked Polly's mother and left.
"Oh please Polly, please forgive me." I mumbled
-
That night I slept, worried as I'll ever be.
But what I know and I'll never forget is that
I love you Polly Anne Matthews.
Always have, always will.
