Chapter 24

"Chase, I have to tell you something first," I say, as everyone is sitting on my couch.

He looks at me.

"I'm sorry I waited so long to tell you. My "hometown" boyfriend is not really from my hometown. It's Coach Johnson," I gulp.

"What?" he states, shocked.

"Luke gave me the same look," I giggle.

Ali smiles.

"Yesterday the police almost caught us, so he broke up with me," I tear up.

Paige hugs me.

"There's more news," I gulp.

"Spill it," Ali says.

"I'm pregnant," I say.

"What?! Does Ricky know?" Luke asks.

"He doesn't," I frown.

"Are you gonna tell him?" Paige asks.

"Will you guys stay here if I go?" I ask.

They nod.

"I'll be back soon," I say.

I grab my phone and my keys and drive to Ricky's house.

I knock on the door and Ricky answers.

"What are you doing here?" he asks.

"Can we talk?" I ask.

He nods and lets me inside. I give a small smile to Ezra who is on the couch.

Ricky follows me upstairs to his room.

"Do you hate me?" I blurt.

"Jo, I could never hate you," he says.

"You might when you hear this," I tear up.

"Jo, what's wrong?" he asks.

"I'm pregnant."

"You're pregnant?!" Ricky asks.

"Are you mad?" I ask.

"What do we do?" he asks.

"You don't wanna be with me," I say.

"I want to, just not right now," he says.

"Then don't expect to see your child," I run downstairs.

"Jo, wait!" he says, running after me.

"I love you Ricky Johnson! And you just rip my heart in pieces," I say.

He picks me up and kisses me. I wrap my legs around his waist.

"I'm sorry for what I did," he frowns.

I kiss him again.

"Please don't leave again. My heart can't take it," I say.

"I won't," he smiles.

"You and Ezra come to my place," I smile.

"We'll be there soon," he smiles.

I drive home.

"We made up, again," I tell them as we walk inside.

Luke laughs and rolls his eyes.

"Ricky and Ezra are on their way now," I say.

"You think he could pick us up some beer?" Luke asks.

I call Ricky and he agrees to stop by and get them some beer.

"I can't drink," I whine.

"It's best for the baby," Ali winks.

"I can't believe you're pregnant at 17," Paige laughs.

"Shut up! I'll be 18 by time the baby's born," I giggle.

"I'm the godfather," Luke smirks.

"Maybe," I giggle.

"Paige and I are the godmothers, right?" Ali asks.

"Of course!" I smile.

Ricky and Ezra walk in with a shit ton of beer! They set it down in the kitchen.

"No drinking for you," Ricky kisses my cheek.

"None for you either then," I smirk.

"No promises," he grins.

We go in my garage and set up a beer pong table.

"Can I play?" Ricky asks me.

"Go ahead," I roll my eyes.

He gives me a soft kiss and joins the others.

"I'll keep you company. i'm not really feeling like drinking tonight," Ezra smiles.

I hug him.

Ricky is on a team with Ali and Paige is on Luke and Chase's team.

"Wanna go watch TV?" Ezra chuckles, looking bored.

"No fishing shows," I laugh.

"Fine," he groans.

I feel a sickness in my stomach, and I rush to the bathroom. I feel hands pull my hair back as I puke.

"You okay babygirl?" Ricky asks as I finish.

I nod and brush my teeth.

"Go have fun," I giggle.

I join Ezra on the couch and we watch reruns of Full House.

"Babygirl!" Ricky calls a couple hours later.

Ezra and I get up and walk into the garage. Everyone is totally shitfaced.

Ricky wraps his arms around me.

"I love you," he makes out.

"Love you, now it's time for bed," I giggle.

Ezra helps Luke and Chase to the guest bedroom. I help Ali and Paige to my mom's bedroom.

"Is it dangerous to sleep next to Ricky?" I ask Ezra.

"I'll do it, just in case. You okay with the couch?" he asks.

"Yeah it's cool," I smile.

"Goodnight Ricky," I smile.

"Stay with me," he pouts.

"I don't want to take the chance of you hurting the baby. You are a little drunk," I say.
"I won't hurt the baby I promise," he slurs.

I kiss him softly and Ezra helps him into my bedroom.

I lay down on the couch and fall asleep soon after.
