Chapter 40; Making Up

Weeks go by, and before I know it, it's my appointment to find out the sex of my babies!

"I can't wait to find out!" I say as Jesse, mom, and I are driving to the doctor.

Paige and Ali are still pissed, but they actually are being nice to me now.

"I hope I have two nephews so I can teach them to play football," Jesse smirks.

"Only you would say something like that," I giggle.

Jesse smiles.

"What's today's date?" I ask.

"December 16th," mom replies.

Tomorrow's Friday, and the last day before Christmas break.

We get to the doctors and they finally call me back after waiting forever.

She puts the cold goo on my stomach.

"So, would you like to know the sex?" Nurse Startup asks.

"yes!" mom and Jesse say.

I giggle.

I nod at the nurse.

 

School comes fast the next day. Last night I wrote Ricky another note.

 

Ricky,

I went to the doctor yesterday. We're having a boy and a girl. I can't wait to see our beautiful children. I know our boy will be as handsome as you, and I hope our girl has your features too. I'm glad you don't hate me, and I hope you're in the delivery room that day.

Last period comes and I get there early and slip the note on his desk before he gets there.

I walk over to Paige and Ali.

"I miss you guys," I frown.

"We miss you too," Ali admits.

"Ricky told us about the money, and I think that was wonderful. I'm sorry that we were ever mad," Paige smiles.

"Friends?" I ask.

"Bestfriends," they say together.

I hug them both tightly.

"Now I just gotta get Ezra to be my big brother again," I laugh.

"Have you found out the gender yet?" Paige asks.

"One boy and one girl!" I grin.

I look up to see Ricky crying.

"Oh no," I say.

Paige looks at him.

"What did you do?" she giggles.

"I wrote him a note, telling him the gender of the babies," I say.

He walks out the door and the class stares, not knowing what happened.

The principal comes in.

"Coach Johnson had an emergency, so you're all free to check out and leave," he says.

"Hell yes!" Ali smirks.

"i'm sorry about the brother thing," paige says.

"It's all good. You have to come over and meet him!" I say.

"Let's go," Ali says.

I introduced my brother to Chase a few days after he met Luke, so all he needs to meet is the girls, and maybe my two teachers.

 

"Jesse, these are my best friends, Paige and Ali. This is my brother Jesse," I introduce.

They all shake hands.

"Still up to planning a baby shower?" my mom asks the girls.

"Yes! Can we start now?" Paige asks.

"Go ahead. I need to go somewhere anyways," I grin.

I get in the car and drive to Ezra's.

I knock on his door and wait patiently.

"Hi," he says as he opens the door.

"Do you wanna know the sex of you maybe nieces or nephews?" I ask.

"Ricky's here. He already told me," Ezra says.

"Please stop being mad at me. I miss you. You were my big brother when Jesse was away, and I miss that. I'm sorry for everything," I say.

He hugs me.

"I miss you too," he grins.

I smile.

"Is it safe to come inside?" I say, seeing Ricky on the couch.

"Jo, he misses you. He's just scared to be hurt again," Ezra says.

"I know. I miss him like crazy," I say.

"I know. I see the way you look at him," Ezra chuckles.

I playfully elbow him.

He opens his door and I sit next to Ricky.

"I love you Ricky," I whisper.

He turns to me.

"I love you more."

I kiss him softly.

"I'm so sorry," I say.

"I forgive you," he hugs me.

"I want to move in with you," I say.

"I think that can be arranged," he smirks.

"Have you took the paternity test with Fiona?" I ask.

"I take it tomorrow," he says.

I look away, not wanting him to see the tears forming.

"Jo, I'm sorry. That was a dumbass mistake," he says.

"So what happens if it yours?" I say.

"I don't wanna think about that until I get the results," he says.

I cuddle into his chest.

"So a boy and a girl, huh?" he smirks, causing me to smile.

I giggle.

"Can we go to my house?" I  ask Ricky and Ezra.

"Yeah sure," they smile.

We drive to my house where I introduce them to Jesse.

"Don't hurt my little sister," Jesse tells Ricky, making me blush.

"I don't plan on it," Ricky smiles.

"Jesse go get some dinner for everyone!" mom hands Jesse some money.

I hug him before he heads to his car.

Ricky and I head upstairs while everyone stays downstairs and helps plan the baby shower.

"You didn't tell Jesse about fiona did you?" Ricky asks.

"If I did you wouldn't be alive right now," I smirk.

"Will you go with me tomorrow?" Ricky asks.

"I will," I force a smile.

He puts his arms around my waist and holds me there.

"When can we start moving my stuff to your place?' I ask.

"As soon as you want to ," Ricky chuckles.

"I have 500 from work, and I would like to go baby shopping again," I smile.

"I have 600 saved as well," Ricky smiles.

"That should cover everything else we need," I grin.

I cuddle with Ricky and stick my head in his chest.
