Two days go by, and I don't leave Ricky's side.

Mom brings me food, but I don't really eat much. Paige and Ali show up a lot too.

Jesse and Ezra won't be released for another few days, so I see them for a little bit a day.

Ricky's doctor comes in.

"When will he wake up?" I ask.

"It's not definite he will, but he seems to be getting better," the doctor says.

I just nod.

I check the date.

December 20th. 5 days until Christmas.

4 days go by and it's Christmas Eve. Also the day that Ezra and Jesse are being released.

"I'm gonna go Christmas shopping since I haven't yet," I kiss mom's cheek.

I get in my car and drive through the traffic.

I buy an elephant sweater for Ali and a giraffe sweater for Paige. I buy a leather jacket for Jesse and I get Ezra a new laptop case. I buy Luke 3 new pairs of gym shorts and I buy Chase a football and a basketball. I buy mom a new jewelry box and a coffee mug.

I walk around Target looking for Ricky something.

I finally decide to buy him a new PS4 and a few games.

I pay for it and I drive home. I drop the presents off and grab something to eat. I rush back to the hospital to find everyone in Ricky's room, even Ezra and Jesse.

My mom rushes to me.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"Ricky talked, but he was sleeping. The doctors are sure he is gonna wake up!" mom smiles.

Tears of happiness roll down my face.

"Christmas is tomorrow, maybe he'll wake up tonight," I smile.

I walk over to Ricky.

"Please pull through. I love you," I whisper in his ear.

Ricky stirs a little.

"He's moving!" I scream.

Ricky stirs again, and opens his eyes.

"He's awake!" I smile.

"Jo, what happened?" Ricky asks.

"Damn you Ricky! If you ever don't put on your seatbelt again I will kick your ass!" I giggle.

I explain what happened after I grab him a cup of water.

"I'm so sorry," Ricky puts his hand on my cheek.

I kiss his cheek.

"I'm glad you're okay," Ezra says.

"How will you two go back to school?" Jesse asks.

"Depends on what the doctor says," Ricky says.

"It's Christmas Eve," I whisper.

"Shit," Ricky frowns.

"It's okay, maybe we can spend Christmas here," I fake a smile.

"But I know you wanna be home," Ricky frowns.

"I just wanna be with you," I kiss him.

He puts his free hand on my stomach. One of the babies gets excited and kicks his hand. Ricky smiles at me.
