Chapter 28; Party Pooper

We get back to the hotel and I lay in bed.

"You okay?" Ricky asks.

"I'm scared," I admit.

"Scared of what?" he asks.

"I'm pregnant at 17. I'm scared I won't make it to graduation or even pass my classes. Being pregnant is a huge distraction, and it comes with getting sick a lot. We should've been more careful," I say.

"Baby girl, you're gonna make it, and I'm gonna be by your side every single step of the way. I promise," he grins.

I kiss him and pull my phone out. I press a few buttons, then I dial mom's number.

"Hey honey," she answers.

"Hey mom. I need to tell you something," I take a deep breathe.

"You can tell me anything honey," she says.

"Mom, I'm sort of dating my teacher."

"Jo, what on earth? What's his name?" she asks, and I know she's mad. 

"Ricky."

"How old is he?"

"24, but mom that's not all," I sigh.

"What happened?" she asks.

"I'm pregnant-"

I was going to tell her with twins, but she hangs up before I can finish.

Ricky kisses my cheek.

"That didn't go very well," I frown.

"I wanted to talk to you about something," Ricky says.

I look at him.

"Would you consider moving in with me?" he asks.

"When I turn 18," I grin.

"Which is when?" he asks.

"January 26," I grin.

My phone rings and I'm shocked to see that my mom is calling.

"Hi mom," I answer.

"Is he taking care of you while I'm away?" she asks.

"Yes mom. He's the best. He treats me like a queen," I smile.

"That's good. How far along are you?" she asks.

"2 weeks," I say.

"Just be careful. Don't get caught with him. Make sure he takes care of you. I love you, and I'll be home as soon as I can," she says, sighing.

"I love you too, and I'm sorry," I hang up.

"So she's okay now?" Ricky asks.

"I think she's trying to accept it."

I hear a knock and I open the door to see everyone standing outside except Ezra.

"Can you go get us some alcohol?" Luke asks.

Ricky chuckles.

"Sure," he smiles.

Luke hands him some money.

"You wanna go?" Ricky asks.

"I think I'll stay here," I smile.

Ricky kisses my cheek and I grab my wallet and head to the lobby.

"Jo wait up," Luke calls.

I wait for him and we step in the elevator.

"So how are you and Ricky?" he asks.

"Great. How are you doing now that you and Ali aren't together?" I ask.

"We're still friends," he smiles.

I step out of the elevator and go to the snack bar.

"Want anything?" I ask Luke.

"A twix," he grins.

I grab a twix and a slice of caramel pie. I pay for it and we sit at one of the tables in the eating area.

"I can't wait to be done with school," Luke smiles.

"Same here. Then Ricky and I can actually be seen in public together," I grin.

"Don't forget me after high school," Luke winks.

"How could I? You and Ezra are my brothers now," I smile.

"Good. I can't wait to be an uncle," Luke winks.

"I can't wait to be a mom, but I'm a little scared," I admit.

"Motherhood looks awfully hard. But Jo, you've got a great guy and some pretty amazing friends," Luke says.

"I know, and thanks. Thanks for always being there," I grin.

"Always," he smiles.

"Beers here," Paige sits down next to us.

"I love you Paige. You my sista!" I giggle.

"Love you too Jo. You my homie," Paige winks.

We all laugh and head upstairs.

We find everyone in Ricky and I's room.

"Let's get this party started!" Chase shouts.

Everyone but me chugs two beers and then they start playing Ring Of Fire.

"I'm surprised you drunk this time Ezra," Chase smirks.

"I figured why not," Ezra laughs.

"I love you all," I smile.

"And we all love you," Chase smiles.

They all drink a few more beers, do a few shots, and pretty soon they're wasted.

"Let's go swimming!" Ali grins.

"Oh boy ," I mumble to myself.

Everyone changes into their swimsuits so I change as well.

We all walk to the elevator and Ricky picks me up.

"I love you gorgeous," he grins, even though his words are slurred.

I kiss him.

"You taste like beer," I crinkle my nose.

He chuckles and kisses my cheek.

We head to the indoor pool which is surprisingly empty. Everyone jumps in but I sit on the edge.

"Come on babe," Ricky gives me the puppy face.

I roll my eyes and giggle.

He helps me in and I wrap my legs around him.

"I love you," I Smile.

"I love you too," he smiles, then burps.

"So gross!" I groan.

"Let's play chicken!" Ali grins.

Chase puts Ali on his shoulders and Luke puts Paige on his.

I get out of the pool and head to the lobby.

I sit down at a table and stare off into space.

"Baby what's wrong?" Ricky joins my side.

"I can't exactly have fun with you guys," I frown.

"I won't drink anymore babe. I'll sober up with you," he says.

"Don't do that. Have some fun. I think I'm just going to go to bed," I say, smiling a little.

"Goodnight party pooper," Ricky winks.

"Goodnight," I kiss him.
