The Alpha's Sister

Chapter 3

As I was walking down the hall the next  day  saw Claudia talking to someone outside of my classroom. My heart starts pounding. There was no way to get into the classroom without going past Claudia. But I don't want to avoid her, I want to run into her arms and never let go.  But instead I turn away and run to the bathroom. As I was about to open the door, another girl came out and I ran straight into her. 

As I back up I sign "I'm so sorry."  

"Whatever." she said as she pushed passed me. 

I walk in to class a couple minutes late. The teacher gave me a glare and went back to teaching. I kept my head down and took a seat in the back of the class. 

Finally the lunch bell rang and we were all dismissed. I waited until everyone was out of the classroom before getting up and leaving. I decided that I wasn't going to eat lunch inside today, so I grabbed my lunch and then found an empty hallway and sat against the lockers. Everything was fine until I heard voices coming from the end of the hall. I got up quickly and started to quickly walk away. 

"Hey you there, wait up." I freeze and slowly turn around. 

Two guys walked up to me and one of them said "So I heard you knocked into my girlfriend." 

"I said I was sorry." I sign quickly. 

"Ok whatever. Just don't touch my mate again. Ok?" I nod quickly. 

He gives me a small glare and then walks back down the hall. I let out a small breath. I didn't think I'd get confronted about that. 

"Was that guy bothering you?" I heard a voice say from behind me. 

I turn around quickly and there was Claudia standing behind me. And I think I see a trace of concern in her beautiful indigo eyes. I shake my head. 

"Good. So why are you eating out in the hallway?" I look at her. She's wearing a black sweater with black skinny jeans and she had a dragon ear cuff on her ear. 

I snap out of my trance and sign back "I don't eat in the cafeteria because it's to loud and I don't have anyone to sit with."  

Claudia just nods looking thoughtful,"Well do you mind if I sit with you for now?" 

"You can sit with me if you want." 

We sit down. I wanted to say no, the closer and longer I'm with her the harder it will be to take rejection. But at the same time I wanted to be with her forever. 

"That attack yesterday was crazy. I'm glad you're ok."  

"Yeah I'm fine. Thanks again for saving me." I sign. Just then the bell rang. 

"I'll see you around ok?" she says getting up. I nod and got up too. We went our separate ways and as I was walking away I could feel my heart breaking.

It was rare that someone got rejected but it has happened. And I have heard legends about what happened to them. I know it will hurt but I just have to get through and not let my dad know that I'm suffering. He doesn't need more bad things in his life. I just have to wait it out.
