The gathering crowd soon became convinced of Lei Jun's heritage as they started whispering among one another.

This frightened the guards as they started to think over their decision about not letting the young man in,.

Soon they became convinced they had made a grave mistake.

What if what the young man said was true?

If he was actually who he said he was would they be in trouble for not reporting to the emperor?!

Quickly one of the guards ran to report the strange pair at the gate while the other guards stayed behind.

Surprisingly things were going more smoothly then Song Shai anticipated.

It did not take long for the guard to come back with a decree to be let in, now all the guards acted warm and friendly contrary to their previous arrogant selves...

Quickly they ushered Jun into the gates forgetting about the young lady who had accompanied him as they believed her to only be a bystander.

Song Shai didn't mind, this was better for her actually as she had never even intended to follow Jun this far in the first place.

Rather she hoped he could become more independent and slowly start to forget about her...

Just as Song Shai was about to be left in the dust Lei Jun quickly turned around grabbing Song Shai by the hand.

His eyes looked slightly angry as he looked at Song Shai with a questioning gaze saying, 'why didn't you follow right behind me?!'

"She is my companion, if she doesn't come than I don't either!" Jun boldly spoke up to the guards, his tone was cold and serious.

"B-but the emperor only sent for yo-" Before the guards could speak, Lei Jun sent the guards an icy glare while Song Shai was not looking.

After all, he had already gone through so much negotiating to make Song Shai come with him, he wasn't going to have anyone mess that up!

She had to stay by his side at all times.

This lead to the guards immediately grow quiet as both Lei Jun and Song Shai were let in through the gates.

Upon entering, the two were lead by the guards into the enormous palace towards the emperor's courtroom.

But before entering Song Shai stood to the side of the large marble walls, silently she pulled away from Lei Jun's tight grip.

As soon as she did this Lei Jun gazed up with hurt eyes.

Song Shai: "You are no longer a child, you can do this alone. I will patiently wait here till you are done-"

"B-but you promised..."

"And I have fulfilled my end of the bargain, I only said I would accompany you and I have done that much. You're right outside the emperor's door, so don't make him wait."

Before, Lei Jun could say anything Song Shai emotionlessly said the last part with a bit more edge as her eyes showed no room for arguing. "That's an Order."

Although Lei Jun's soul shook as he looked into Song Shai piercing dark, misty eyes, he could not defy her as she said it was a direct order.

Lifelessly he walked into the emperors courtroom while Song Shai stayed behind.

...............

After the guards shut the door to the large palace room, Song Shai silently sat down as she began to wait.

Truthfully she hadn't planned on backing out last minute but seeing Lei Jun on the street perfectly act out her plan, she realized she had to let him be independent.

After all, once the worlds story was destroyed it would only be a matter of time before she was killed off.

She didn't want Lei Jun to be too affected by her death so before then she knew she might as well start distancing herself.

Song Shai silently waited in the dark hall expecting the accusations and trail to be done within a couple hours if he was fast.

Oddly enough, just after 30 minutes passed the big doors opened and a man was dragged out by a bunch of guards as he was kicking and screaming.

"YOU'RE WRONG, I DIDN'T KILL THEM. YOU'VE GOT TO BELIEVE ME HONORABLE EMPEROR. DON'T KILL AN INNOCENT MAN. IT'S ALL THAT YOUNG BOYS FAULT HE'S FRAMED ME!!!"

Then the doors once again closed and all was silent. Ten minutes passed before the doors opened again.

"I finished, master did not wait long right?" Lei Jun asked in a sweet voice while his gentle eyes were somehow scary.

"Ah, what happened in there...?" Although Song Shai held an impassive face, her monotone voice held a twinge of confusion.

"Just like you wanted, I completed your plans. I brought out all the irrefutable information to accuse Ling An, and the emperor being a wise man, he quickly found fault in his right hand man sentencing Ling An to jail. After reviewing the evidence a little longer he will decide whether or not to sentence Ling An to death. After they dragged out Ling An, I quickly thanked the emperor and was finally able to leave."

"But when practicing for this, showing all the evidence and accusing Ling An was supposed to at least take around four hours, maybe just two if you were really quick, yet only forty minutes have passed..."

"Really, it's only been that long? Time was passing by so slow I felt like I wasn't going fast enough. I guess know I'll be able to cook an early supper what do you want? I'll make anything you like."

Song Shai looked at Lei Jun as he completely switched topics without answering her question.

She still wanted answers as to why he had come out so quick but seeing his dark gaze as he gave her a seemingly sweet smile, Song Shai decided not to push him to much as she monotony replied "Vegetables with beef, rice and noodles."

Afterwards the two were led out of the palace by the guards and started their walk home.

Little did the villain know, since meeting her, Lei Jun's soul had slowly started to change.

*Desert Note: Haha Jun's ability is frightening, when he wants what he wants nothing can stop him! Except the Villain... that's why he probably took his anger out on the Ling An and was able to do the trail so fast, *silently lights incense* Also good luck to the Villain in the future, it's definitely not going to be easy, after all her little Jun is more of a monster/powerful then she realizes.
