(Y/N) looks ahead at the shop before her. She takes a deep breath, hands gripping the door handle, and stood still for a minute straight. She had to face him to know the truth.

"Welcome to Magic Sho—"

Hoseok freezes as he sees (Y/N) entering the building.

"(Y/N)..."

"I heard that you tried to visit me in the hospital..." she started, glancing at the rows of cups laying on the side of the counter, ready to be used. Then her eyes stopped at her mug. "I'm sorry that I declined, I wanted to be alone."

"No, it's alright! Sit down! What happened? Are you alright? Wait before you answer— I'll take care of the customers first," Hoseok motions Jisung to clear a table for (Y/N). (Y/N) looked around, seeing customers come and go as they hastily receive their orders. Hoseok sat down in front of her when there were no more customers to take care off and Jisung disappeared to the back to give them privacy.

"I'm doing... fine," she answers quietly when he was finally in front of her. "We have to talk."

"About...?"

"Your coffee of course."

In a quick glance, Hoseok saw his sister's orange eyes igniting (Y/N)'s (e/c) ones. He saw the same spark from his sister, one full of martyrdom and fearlessness. Her gaze had the power to dissect a person bit by bit and it terrified Hoseok, somehow, in some way that he doesn't understand. She had something that his sister doesn't... so many things— too many things.

"I don't understand..."

"Stop... stop acting like you don't know, Hoseok. If you're not going to speak and tell me the truth... then..." she smiled, her eyes blank and face expressionless. "I'll have to force it out of you."

(Y/N) continued to smile despite her constant quivering, her jaw clenched as her eyes was glued to his, making sure that he was only looking at her, focusing to only her. Her index finger tapped the wooden table— the noise trapping Hoseok in an endless depth of confusion and dizziness. Glaring at her, eyes watering, he could not see the whites of her eyes nor the vessels that flowed through them.

Tap. Tap.

"Your easy smiles, your gentle teasings, and your warm actions— these had all strung my heart and blinded my eyes," she began, whispering as her elbows rested on top of the table, leaning closer to Hoseok, presence dominating over his. "I overlooked your deviating lies and untrustworthy actions and glanced the other way when I thought that you were genuine, but Jung Ho Seok... you mistook me of a mindless fool."

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Her finger kept a steady rhythm, clashing itself on the surface of the table. Hoseok felt a sudden unpleasant coldness. It was the kind that made you want to run away and brace your head against the wind. No matter how warm the blood in his veins were, his face remained frozen, body paralyzed in one spot.

"(Y/N)... I— what are you doing to me—" Hoseok breathes out, gripping his throat, feeling as if he was being suffocated. He felt like there were two hands wrapped around his throat tightly when in reality, there were none.
