"So, ano? A-attend ka pa ba?" tanong niya ulit.
Umiling ako. "Hindi ko alam. Hindi ko alam kung sino'ng dadalhin ko."
"Kaya 'yan, Eunice. Humanap ka lang d'yan ng lalaki. Ilang araw lang naman 'yon, eh."
Sumimangot ako sa sinabi niya. "Hindi gano'n kadali, okay? Sa tingin mo ba, papayag agad sila?"
Nagkibit-balikat siya. "Bakit hindi? Sino namang gunggong ang makakatanggi sa'yo?"
"Bahala na. Uuwi na 'ko." sagot ko at isinakbit ang bag.
"Sige. Ingat!" kaway niya at naglakad paalis.
Bagsak ang balikat na naglakad ako paalis ng school. Unti-unti na akong nawalan ng pag-asa na makakahanap ako ng maisasama sa reunion. Dahil lutang ako, hindi ko namalayan na may nabangga na pala ako.
"Ouch! Leche!" daing ko.
"Oh, sorry. Hindi kita nakita."
Tumingala ako at tinignan kung sino ang nabangga ko. Suddenly, natigilan ako.
He's the one. He's my last resort.
Pinagmasdan ko ang mukhang nasa harap ko ngayon. He looked confused about how I acted.
"Are... you okay?" tanong nya.
Napalunok ako. Hindi ko na alam kung anong gagawin ko.
Ah, shit. Bahala na.
"Jaiden, I need you to be my boyfriend."
