When Anna and I left the parking lot the day when we found out the real reason Elizabeth dated me for as long as she did, I was... I'm not sure what the right word is, I guess I was confused. Not about Elizabeth though.

Yes, I really cared about Elizabeth... but that was in the past. In the last few months of our relationship, I didn't love her as much as I convinced myself I did, so when I found out the whole thing was fake I was more relieved than anything. 

At least I knew that she didn't change because of something I did. At least I knew that it wasn't my fault that our relationship turned to ashes. Of course of was frustrated that I wasted almost 3 years of my life on her, but I'm not one to dwell on things that I can't change.

What I was most concerned with is the fact that I like Anna. A lot. I realized it while she was attempting to comfort me in the car. Me liking Anna was... honestly terrifying. I had known her for such a short amount of time, yet I felt extremely strong feelings for her. That's why I didn't talk to her all weekend, I was trying to... sort out my feelings in a way. 

She seemed to think that it was because of Elizabeth and I let her because I couldn't tell her the truth. I couldn't even talk to her during school because I didn't know what to say or if I would accidentally say something to embarrass myself. It was like all of a sudden I didn't know how to talk to her. But when she tried to cheer me up by cracking a joke I knew there was no reason to be scared.

I just wanted to get to know her, let her know how much I care about her and appreciate her. She's done so much for me in the past month and a half and I'm not sure how to thank her other than giving her what she gave me. Someone to talk to.

So I invited her over.

I wasn't expecting her to tell me her whole story though, and I surely wasn't expecting her to burst into tears.

But holding her on my couch, watching Boy Meets World Reruns and listening to the beat of her heart I knew I wanted this. No matter if she had some crazy ex that may or may not try to kill me.

Anna left after a few more episodes and thanked me once again for letting her talk about everything. I told her so many times that it was the least I could do considering all that she's helped me with. My parents weren't home so her staying late wasn't a problem for me, but her brother wouldn't have been okay with it. Like her, my parents aren't home all that often, but it doesn't bother me that much.

Right before she jumped out of my car she turned to look at me, gave me a giant smile, and kissed me on the cheek.

My face got so red I'm pretty sure I resembled a tomato. I was lucky it was dark outside and she couldn't see me.

"Goodbye, my sweet Golden Boy!" She giggled, jumping out of my car and waving at me as she left.

I got home, showered, and got ready for bed. I checked my phone and saw a text from an unknown number.

Anna told me that she told you about everything that happened with Tony, and how he hurts people she gets close to. She also told me that you two have been getting pretty close yourselves. ~A

Yeah, she told me and... I guess you could say we've been getting close. ~C

You know how dangerous this is right? Being around her? You also know that a lot of people are depending on you in case something happens to her. ~A

Yeah man, I understand. If I need to, I'll do everything in my power to help her and stop anything from happening to her. Even if I have to put myself in harm's way. ~C

As much as I want to make sure you take care of Anna, I want you to take care of yourself as well. I know I was pretty hostile towards you in the beginning, but I think you're a good guy. Just take care of yourself man. ~A

Like I said earlier... I think you're a good guy. You're one of the only guys that have been interested in Anna that I've liked. Actually, you're the only guy. All the others were stuck up white boys, even the kind of nice ones and... if I'm being honest I haven't seen that spark in Anna's eyes since Tony. She didn't even talk about Tony the way she talks about you. I seriously think you guys would be good together and all you gotta do is shoot your shot. I guarantee that you'll make it. I also have this feeling that you're gonna be the one to somehow get rid of Tony. ~A

He also made a comment about tony, but I chose to ignore it, that's asking a lot of me and I don't really know if I'll be able to do what he thinks I can.
