"There's the tower, everybody," the caravan driver said, making the team cheer up with excitement. I opened the window and looked out to see a tall tower with a lightning bolt symbol at the top.
"We're almost home, guys."
'Home...' I thought, feeling a sudden wave of longing for my hometown.
"I can't believe we're finally back," Mark/Endou said, his voice full of excitement.
"Yeah," Nathan/Kazemaru nodded in agreement.
"It's been so long," Jack/Kabeyama added, sounding emotional.
"Feels like we've been gone forever, don't you think?" Tod/Kurimatsu said, clearly happy to be back. Everyone else agreed.
"What's going on with you guys? What's gotten into you all?" Tori/Touko asked, confused by everyone's behavior.

"Well, it's the tower, right there." Mark/Endou pointed it out to her. "Can you see it? It's kind of like a symbol of home for us." He smiled before turning back to the team. "Anyway, we only have a week left until our match with Team Epsilon/Ipushiron, so listen up! We have to train hard and reach an even higher level!"
"Yeah!!" Everyone shouted in unison, full of energy.
"They sure sound fired up to fight those aliens." I heard Shurayuki's voice echo inside my head, smug as ever.
'You've been pretty active lately,' I thought back to her. 'Ever since the match against those Royal players. Did something happen that got you so pumped about the next game?'
I still didn't know what exactly went down between Shurayuki and the rest of the team during the time she was in control... but lately, Kevin/Someoka's been talking to me more like a friend. He even gave me a sandwich during our trip when I was starving — totally caught me off guard.
