"Adeline," nagising ako sa marahang tapik sa balikat ko.

"Hmm... "

"Wake up, you should see this," si Jayce na ngayon ay nakaupo sa gilid ko.

"See what?" tanong ko habang kinukusot pa ang mata ko. Nakakahiya dahil baka mamaya ay may muta pa ako.

He chuckled a bit and he pointed to the view in front of us.

It was indeed beautiful. The sunrise blooms on the horizon, filling the sky with the shades of orange and pink. I can feel the warmth of the hues it brings out as if it was bringing you another day to hope, another beginning and another day to live. I can see how the colors give life to the place where we are right now.

Sunrise will remind us that we may be in the dark, but time will come, you will radiate like how the sunrise gives you its rays, warmth, golden and strong colors for a new beginning.

I can't help but stare at what is in front of us, "It's so beautiful!"

I can feel his stare at me. "There is something beautiful in sunrise," he said. Lumingon tuloy ako sa kanya at nag-iwas agad siya nang tingin.

"I thought, you are in love with sunset?" tanong ko dahil naalala ko ang post niya sa Facebook dahil iyon ang caption niya sa profile picture niya.

"There's something beautiful in both, actually," he chuckled.

Tumayo na ako para makapagmumog at maghilamos habang si Jayce naman ay inaayos na ang mga gamit namin, naghahanda na para makauwi.

"Should we get going?" tanong ko nang matapos sa ginagawa.

"Yes, but we will have some breakfast first," he said before he started the engine.

I was just expecting that we will eat in a carinderia or in a convenience store since it is too early. Pero nagulat ako nang huminto kami sa isang restaurant.

"Sa iba nalang tayo kumain. Tignan mo, closed pa," sabi ko habang naglalakad papalapit sa pinto ng restaurant.

"They're open for us," he winks at me. "I know the owner, so don't worry."

Tulad nga ng sabi niya ay bukas nga iyon! Sinalubong kami ng isang matandang babae na sa tingin ko ay ang may-ari ng lugar.

"Magandang umaga, nay!" bati ni Jayce dito at nag-mano kaya ganoon rin ang ginawa ko.

"Magandang umaga rin, hijo! Kumusta ka na? Medyo matagal na rin mula noong nagpunta ka rito ah?" tanong niya kay Jaye bago siya lumingon sa akin at ngumiti.

"Oo nga po 'nay. Okay naman po ako. Kayo ho?"
