"Adeline!"

Archer waved his hand at me when I reached the entrance of the club. It was a Saturday night and this would probably be my last night out being a Callejo alone. I accepted Archer's invitation last time to go with him and his colleagues.

"Hello!" I gave him a short hug. "My friends are also coming. Is it okay?"

Bukod kasi sa may usapan kami ni Archer at ng mga kaibigan niya, nag-aya rin kasi ang mga kaibigan ko. I decided to meet them all tonight. Hindi naman pwedeng pumarty ako ng pumarty. Baka kung saan ako pulutin. I laughed at the back of my mind.

"Yeah, sure. How about..."

"All of them."

"Oh! Okay! That will not be a problem," he said cooly. "You look stunning as always!"

"Thank you!"

I was wearing a black mini dress with a strappy back. Simple lang naman iyon at pa-ekis ang strap sa likod. I paired it with my YSL heels to keep my look classy. I fixed my hair on the side so that the design of my dress would be emphasized. Sayang naman ang outfit kung hindi makikita ang likod ko.

We had separate reservations, pero medyo malayo ang pwesto namin sa kanila. My friends probably wanted us to enjoy the night just like what Archer and his colleagues planned to do. Pumunta lang din naman ako dito to party.

"Jayce isn't around, right?" I asked when we entered the club.

Pagkagising ko kasi kaninang umaga ay nasa kwarto na ako. Alam kong nakatulog na ako sa couch kagabi. I am aware that nothing happened between us too. Wala namang masakit sa akin noong nagising ako.

Hinanap ko siya sa unit ko, pero wala siya. Nakita ko lang ang pagkain kanina sa breakfast table at may nakasulat doon na note.

I didn't receive any text from him since this morning. Tanghali na nga ako nagising kanina kaya naging brunch ko na tuloy ang pagkain na inihanda niya. I even took a picture of it and sent it to him to say thank you, but I didn't receive any reply.

Since my friends were not yet around, Archer kept me company at their table. Ang loner naman naming dalawa kung maghihiwalay pa kami ng lamesa eh parehas namang wala pa ang mga kasama namin.

"Ah! He went to his parents' house."

"Okay. He didn't inform me."

We were almost whispering to one another because of the loud noise. The party hasn't started yet, but the music completely filled the place. Marami na rin ang mga tao, pero hindi pa ganoong mga nakakainom.

"Does he need to inform you?" he teased.
