Ermand fumed at the thought of Mrs. Chisel breaking in while Jack finally tries to tell him something. The other thought of them trying to compel him to join the dorm and quit his job added more to his anger.
When he reached Agledon, he slowly walked through its corridors. He forgot where his classroom was because of all those thousands of corridors and archways.
However, he reached the D1 classroom before the Professors arrived. He noticed Timothy and Charlie snickering at the far end corner of the large classroom.
"Where have you been? Hey, you're joining us in the dorm today, aren't you?"
Ermand acted as if he didn't hear them and gently placed his satchel near to him. His eyes searched the hall for Emile and Odin.
"Where's Emile and Odin?"
"There's Emile but I haven't seen Odin," he pointed at the first bench far to them.
"You're moving today?" Charlie nudged him.
"No," he replied, searching something in his satchel.
"Tomorrow?" Timothy whispered when professor Derek walked into the hall.
Ermand stood up with the rest.
"No."
"When?"
"I can't. I've work after college."
"I work too," Charlie shrugged.
Ermand turned at Charlie. His eyes were slightly widened.
"They let you out?"
"Ofcourse. Hey man, we're in college. They'll leave us to wherever we wanna go until ten in the night. I work part time in a potions factory."
"I see. So we'll be able to work after college?"
"Totally."
"Well, I might think of--"
"What are you three discussing so eagerly while I'm here?"
The voice belonged to professor Chestnut, whose eyes pierced into their faces. A few students turned back at them. Timothy opened his mouth to give a fake explanation.
"Uh... nothing much Professor. We were just discussing how nice the weather is today. Don't you think? The trees, the lake and I love the way the birds sing in unison--"
"Shut up!"
Three of them froze at how the voice echoed through the room.
"If I'm speaking something here, you're not allowed unless it's something related to what I'm talking about. Understand?"
They nodded. Their eyes were on the polished wooden desk.
