This isn't a part of the storyline. If you're a Jeith fan, this is basically how things would have went down in part 21.

Keith

"Keith! Oh my goodness, when Ms.Wilts told me she came into contact with you, I just had to come. You've grown!" A womanly voice shouted as a short, chubby woman pushed her way past James' family who were looking around at all of Lance's family photos in awe. "I heard that you were going to chose a mate? I have my fingers crossed you make the right choice."

"Ms. Lynn? It's been years. Wow, you haven't changed." I smiled as I grab her hands while James whispered loud enough for me to hear.

"Like at all. What the hell..." The brunette rolls his eyes as I bump his hip, trying to tell him to shut up while keeping my giggles down. "Nice to see you again, Ms.Lynn."

"Ah James? You and Keith are still in contact too? Why was I the only one never informed? Ever since you've entered the Garrison, I swear you've never spoken to me." Ms.Lynn shakes her head as I smile weakly.

"Well, I am a paladin of Voltron. The only reason we're here is for a small break since my team found out about my problem." I explained as vaguely as possible as the short woman gave me an understanding nod. Feeling her hand on my cheek, I receive a motherly smile from her as she looks me in the eyes.

"That's a good thing. You're opening up and I'm glad that you've found people to confide in. But don't forget who've been there for you. Keep them close and hold onto them." She whispers before noticing someone standing behind me. "Is that woman and man purple?"

"That's my mom and my leader, Krolia and Kolivan. They're Galra. Good Galra." I explain before the short woman could attack them.

"That's absolutely splendid! I should introduce myself!" She exclaims before rushing over to them as I feel a hand on waist before turning to James, who signals to outside the backdoor. Giving a nod, I let him drag me there as I stare at the floor.

"What's wrong? You seem sad or upset and I just wanted to make sure we didn't pressure you into something. That's the last thing I want." James smiles gently at me as I look into his golden brown eyes. "Speak to me, Keith."

"I... I don't know. I know who I want to pick, but I honestly don't want to hurt either of you. I don't deserve either of you if I'm being honest. You've been there since day one and I've been so grateful for you. I love both of you guys but I'm not sure in what way." I grunt before placing a hand on my forehead and leaning on the rail. "It's frustrating. Like Lance and I haven't gotten along at all before I presented and the minute we're alone, everything that I've tried to push down was just undone before I had a say. When he asked me to court, I didn't know what that even meant besides the basic information we received in the Garrison. I just don't want to mess anything up."

"Simple, just speak from your heart. Instead of choosing based on all the facts presented, just think of us and describe your feelings with the two of us. Either way, we won't be hurt. We aren't childish, even though I was the one who challenged him in the first place. So I am sorry for doing that. You didn't deserve that. Also, I wanted to apologize for my bullshit when we were younger. It wasn't right at all of me to bring up your parents or to taught you like that. Especially when I was oblivious as to what you were going through. I was hurt that my best friend wasn't talking to me about his problems. I didn't know how to handle lossing another person." James apologized with tears in eyes, tugging at my heart as he laughed lowly before looking at the floor with wide, watery eyes. "I guess this was a punishment for myself? I was always a rotten kid and I just couldn't control myself. Your dad wouldn't have had to run into that goddamn building if it weren't for me. Those flames wouldn't have been there if I had just focused on the stove. If I had just listened to my mom, my sister, anyone. No one would have died. We'd both have our families."
