(richie tozier)
*june 6th*
"why does that boy look exactly like me?" i ask.
"that's mike. el was wondering if her friends could hang out with us as well," mike responds.
"they definitely can!" i shout, leading them in.
i excuse myself to the bathroom and i bring eddie with me.
i lock the door and eddie looks at me confused.
"eddie, mike looks almost exactly like me!" i exclaim.
"he does. i'm sure it's a coincidence," eddie tells me.
"i'm sorry. i was just hoping i had a little bit of hope that i had a brother," i whisper.
eddie lifts my head, so i look at him.
"don't be sorry, baby. i know you've always wanted a brother, but you have me to keep you company," eddie says.
i hug eddie and i pick him up.
"thanks, darling."
when eddie and i go up to my room, we do full introductions and we sort of just goof around.
at around 6, everyone starts to leave, soon, it's just eddie, mike, and i.
"i feel bad for not walking will home," mike mutters.
"he'll be okay, mike," eddie comforts.
is mike dating will?
"mike, can i ask you a question?" i ask.
"yeah, sure, richie," mike responds.
"are you and will dating?"
"yeah, is that okay? i don't want to be friends with someone who's homophobic," mike says.
"mike, eddie and i have been dating for 10 months now. i'm in the least bit homophobic," i explain.
we all start laughing.
when my mom comes home, she stops dead in her tracks.
"mom, are you okay?" i ask.
"mike, richie, mike's parents and i have some explaining to do."
