Choi Y/N's POV
After visiting Wooyoung's mother, we went back to my house. We were still on our way and the boredom took over us. Even the car radio didn't help.
So, I decided to start the conversation between us with a question. "Jung, why did my parents and your dad arranged our marriage?"
He shrugged his shoulders while focusing on the road. Then I asked him again, "how come you don't know about it? You seem happy with this arranged marriage."
Again, his shoulders moved up after hearing my question. I groaned annoyedly, "why do you keep shrugging your shoulders, you dumb head?!"
He giggled and placed his free hand on my thigh and I flinched at the sudden physical contact. I immediately swatched his hand away from me, glaring at him.
"Who said that I'm happy with this thing?" He opened his mouth and asked back to me. I was clueless and dumbfounded. "So, does that mean you're not happy?"
He shook his head, "no, it's not like that." I huffed an air. I thought he would say yes and we could just tell our parents that we don't want to get married.
He mumbled under his breath, "how am I supposed to be happy... if my own fiance doesn't love me like I do to her?" I couldn't hear it because of the radio.
My phone suddenly rang. I didn't bother to look at the caller ID and I asumed that it was mom who called me. But I was unfortunately wrong.
"Yes, mom? I'm on my way back home," I said to the phone while taking it closer to my ear. Wooyoung was still focusing himself on the road.
I was taken aback by the voice on the other line that responded to what I said, "it's Hongjoong." I froze in my position. My chest tightened at the nervous and worried feeling. My face went pale also.
"Y/N. We need to talk," Hongjoong said after hearing the silence between us. His voice sounded so serious and he hardly ever talked like that to me.
I managed to say but ended up stuttering, "y-yes. Ab-about what, J-Joong?" Wooyoung noticed my nervousness as he turned his head to look at me. He placed his free hand on mine, trying to calm me down and not sound suspicious.
"Just meet me the day after tomorrow. At the place where we first met each other," he answered, his voice was deep and that made me even more worried. But luckily, Wooyoung was holding my hand tightly.
"I- okay. Is that all?" I asked, wanting to know what he wanted to talk about next. But then he suddenly hung up the call without saying anything. He hung up the call without saying anything.
My heart dropped from my chest and I placed my phone down on my lap. I looked at the hand that was holding my free hand. My chest felt so heavy and I didn't know what to say. I felt like I just want to scream at myself. I was feeling a bit anxious when I thought about what he would say when we meet up.
"Y/N, calm down," Wooyoung said softly, tracing circles on my knuckles. I calmed down to his touch and managed to talk.
"I still love him. What if he leaves me?"
