Emily

Neither Dad nor Mom was home yet. I think they are working late. I took a shower and rummaged the pantry for some foods. I found the instant Mac and cheese and decided to eat that for dinner.

Everett video called me while I was doing homework.

"What's my baby doing?" He asked and I don't know if I will ever get used to him calling me that. I've never been in a relationship before. I was not sure what to expect in this relationship.

"I'm doing homework." I said.

"Oh." He said. "Maybe we should study together. I have been missing way too many classes."

"Sure. When would you like to study together?"

"Tomorrow?" He said.

"Okay." I said.

"I will let you study. Have a good night, baby."

"You too." I smiled at the camera and he give me his beautiful smile in returned.

Dad must have had dinner as he came home around eleven pm.

He knocked at my door before coming in.

"Did you eat dinner?" He asked.

"Yes." I said.

"I bought you burger and fries. My colleague and I went for dinner. I bought for your mom as well. If you want to eat, it's on the counter."

Oh. "Thanks, Dad." I said.

I feel like after the incident, Dad's talking to me much more than usual.

"Goodnight." he said.

"Have a goodnight, Dad." I said.

I went downstairs and sure indeed there was bags of foods. I was too full to eat it, but I really appreciated he bought foods for me. I put mine in the refrigerator and I left mom's in the counter for her to eat. I couldn't help, but have a little hope in me. Maybe Dad doesn't dislike me as much as he said he did.

Everett, pulled up in the drive way ten minutes after texting me he was almost there. Dad was walking around the house, getting ready to go to work.

"I'm going to school, Dad. See you later." I said and he nodded his head.

Everett was standing on the porch when I came out. He was wearing a black shirt underneath his black parka and dark jeans. His hair was left in his usual cute messy way. He had red roses in his hand, wrapped in a ribbon.

"Good morning, beautiful." he said as he handed me the roses and I smiled.

I hugged him and kissed his lip.

"Good morning, Everett." I said.

"That colour suits you."he said pointing to my light pink sweater underneath my black parka jacket. It snowed last night and its colder, now. "You look beautiful like always." he kissed my nose and I flushed a little.

"Are we studying together this afternoon?" I asked him.

"Yes." he glanced at me quickly. "Why?"

"Just confirming." I said.

"I'm stopping by at Starbucks, is that okay?" he asked.

"Yes, sure." I said. "What are you planning to do this morning?"

"I'm going home to self-study." he shrugged. "Then I will drop by during lunch time to see you." he grinned. "And I don't know? Go to the mall for a bit and I will come and pick you up."

"Sounds like a busy morning." I said.

"Trying to keep myself busy, so I don't miss you so much."

and I laughed at his cheesiness. "You're so cheesy."

"Only for you." he winked.

Everyone's eyes was on his car as he parked the car. He helped me with my seatbelt and then said, "I will come with you inside."

"Are you sure that it's a good idea?" I was unsure as teachers and students will be around.

"I'm suspended from classes, not school." he shrugged.

"What's the difference?"

"I don't know." he shrugged.

He opened the door for me and I took his hand as I stepped out.

"There's too many eyes watching us." I whispered to him afraid people will hear me.

"They always do." he said and kissed the side of my head.

I see Evan's car pulling in to the space beside his car. It seemed like they always park in the same spot, like its their designated space.

Bloom jumped out of the car with a knowing grin on her face.

"Is that love that I'm smelling." she sniffed around us. Everett put his arm around my shoulder.

"She finally said yes." he said proudly and I couldn't help but feel shy all of a sudden as I tucked my hair behind my ears.

Aaliyah and Evan stood beside Bloom and give us a smile.

"It took you forever, Jeez." Evan teased Everett. "But I'm happy you two are finally together. My hard work did paid off."

"If you work earnestly in your studies just like the way you are earnestly teasing me. You could score better than me." Everett said, rolling his eyes playfully at Evan.

"I could, but I'm fine." Evan said with a grin.

"I can't believe you said yes." Aaliyah said as she give me a hug. "You two look cute together. It was about time."

I smiled.

Everett and I walked hand-in-hand while he carried my back-pack for me even though I said I can carry it. Bloom said she have to meet some students for her presentation this morning, and said goodbye to us.Evan and Aaliyah went to take their things out from the locker.

Everett leaned on the locker beside mine as I opened the locker. Our principal was walking passed us and he seemed to have notice Everett. I couldn't help but panicked.

"Mr. Levi, as far as I know you are suspended." Mr.Friday said raising one of his eyebrow at Everett.

"Sir, he's here to get his book from me. I borrowed his book in one of the class." I said and Everett chuckled beside me.

"Mr. Friday knows I don't share anything with anyone, Em." he said to me.

"That's right." Mr. Friday stifled a smile. "So, why are you here?"

"I will be leaving soon, Mr. Friday." Everett give him a salute.

"Stay out of trouble, Mr. Levi." and he walked away.

"You two seemed pretty close." I said.

"Of course, I'm his star pupil." he give me a smug look and I laughed. The bell rang and my eyes widened.

"I'll see you later, Everett." I said rushing, he pulled me back and said,

"No hugs? kisses?"

"Everyone is watching." I whispered.

"Okay, then." he said kissing my cheek and letting go of me. "I'll see you later, Em." he winked at me. I flushed a little as I waved him, goodbye. I was very well aware of all the look and whispers around me.

And then at that moment, I had a funny thought. People will talk anyway. They have been talking about us since the beginning of the school year. Should I even be bothered by what they think about us, and before I could change my mind. I turned around quickly. Everett was still standing there and was waving there.

I ran to him and said, "I forgot to give you." I said.

"What?" he asked confused.

I peck his lip and I heard everyone gasped around me.

"Have a good day, stay out of trouble." I said and turned quickly and ran towards my classroom and I bit my lip as I saw Everett stood frozen with his mouth opened.
