~~ Unrealistic fanfiction ~~
At the age of 21, Lydia Drake has a lot going for her. Moving to LA to be with her best friend, Tara, she had a job lined up, some cash, and a nice apartment in a fairly good neighbourhood. What she doesn't have, however...
Katrina Stuart We haven't really seen Colby and Lydia for a couple of days. They've been spending time alone at her apartment while we continue to work on making a plan to take down Annalise. Apparently Lydia finally let Colby bite her and now they're about ten times more in love than they were before, which seems impossible but I know the feeling.
Speaking of, I hold Sam's hand as he pulls me at vampire speed quickly down to the garage. As usual, I've been sleeping during the day to spend more time with him. After all, I've been missing him more and more lately.
As soon as we open the door, though, we stop completely in our tracks. There's a couple of the usual clan members in here like Corey, Devyn, Jake, Tara, Elton, Brennen, Aaron, and Tori all in their normal seats. Strangely, Reggie and Cassie are on Colby's beanbag . . . then there's Kevin, Mike, and Aryia who are forced to stand up because the couch is taken. By who? None other than Colby and Lydia but they're fast asleep with his head resting on her. They look so cute and Colby basically doesn't look like himself. I can barely recognise him.

"Awe. Look at our cute babies." I tease in a baby voice as I playfully rest my chin on my hands in the air. A bunch of the others chuckle and laugh, glancing at Colby to see if he's going to wake up. If he does and we're laughing at him, then we can say goodbye to our heads.
"Colby looks different, doesn't he?" Tara says slowly, staring at the normally big bad vampire. He's changed more than we thought if he lets Lydia lie with him like that and in the garage of all places.
"He looks his human age." Sam agrees. He pulls me over to our beanbag and we quickly take a seat. As soon as I'm sat on his lap, I notice Lydia moving. Her eyebrows furrow but she doesn't wake up. Instead, she turns her face towards the back of the couch. Everyone sees the little bite mark sitting on her neck and the necklace hanging from her pocket instead of around her neck. So he really has fed from her and probably more than once by now.
"Would he be angrier if we woke them up or if we let them sleep like that in front of all of us?" Aryia asks, carefully peeking at our leader. "Because I really want to sit down."
"Same." Mike agrees with a pout on his face.
"You're vampires." I reply incredulously, gently shaking my head. They all shrug and pout more. I smile to myself and decide to just cuddle into Sam some more than I already am. They aren't the only ones who get to cuddle in front of everyone.
"You all make me feel really single and lonely." Brennen complains quietly, glaring at Tara and Jake, who're sitting just like me and Sam.
"It's because you are." Lydia says quietly. Everyone turns their heads to look at her but her eyes are still closed. I notice Colby smiling but trying to hide it.
"That's not cool, Lydia." Brennen glares at her as she flutters her eyes open and smiles at him. Her eyes flick down to Colby, who's making no move to get up even though he's awake. Somehow I find it even cuter that he's doing that in front of us and he knows it.
"Why don't you get up? We're waiting to sit down." Kevin says as he hits the back of the couch.
"In case you don't know, Colby's pretty damn heavy."
"Rude." He mumbles, making her smile and lightly kick him. I honestly don't know if I even recognise this guy anymore. He's nothing like the Colby I know or have even heard of. He begins to sit up and brush his hair with his fingers while she does the same. Within the next two seconds, she lets out a laughing squeal and they're gone. Mike, Aryia, Kevin, Reggie, and Cassie quickly move into their normal seats.
"I can't believe he's like that." I say quietly only for Sam to hear. He looks at me with that love-filled gaze I adore on him. If only comes out when he looks at me, which makes me feel so so special.
"I know. It's surreal. We should have waited until today to thank Lydia." He replies, his fingers drawing circles on my arm. We sit in somewhat of a silence listening to the other conversations in the room when his head suddenly snaps up. "Lydia wants you girls in the kitchen." He tells me. I glance at the other girls to see they get the same message and we all nod at the same time and jump up . . .
Lydia Drake I've never been in a better mood in my entire life. To think that I could have felt this way so much sooner . . . after that bite, I fell mountains more in love with Colby and I can tell that the same thing happened to him. We've been so attached to each other that we haven't even come to the house and I've skipped work twice in about four days.
I give Colby a quick kiss before I walk out of his room humming a song I heard on the radio on my way back home from work yesterday. My feet move faster than usual and skip a couple of steps on the stairs as I practically prance about. I go to the kitchen, finding some chips in the cupboard that I immediately open and pull myself up to the counter.
"Send the girls out." I say so that the boys can hear me. I wait for a couple of seconds, wondering if the girls are going to appear when I hear the garage door open and seconds later, all of the girls including Cassie come out into the kitchen. "Hi." I say to them with a smile.
"Hey, what's up?" Tara asks as she jumps up onto the counter with me. She loops an arm over my shoulder and for the first time ever, I let her.
"Just thought we could hang out without the boys." I say and shrug. "And without their ears listening from the other room."
"We can go to my room?" Devyn suggests. I just nod, dropping down from the counter while the others begin towards the stairs already. A breeze flies passed me that places something in my hand. When I look down, I see my necklace. The wounds on my neck become fresh on my mind and I can't help but smile at the thought of it. I kind of like having them there but I guess I have to be careful about not being protected against vampires who aren't as sweet as Colby . . .
