Chapter Five (Operation: Finding Lily)

I remained my cool while entering the school premises. There are only few students sitting on our mini park and most of them are juniors. I didn't bother to scan at the other corner because my mind is flying - thinking on what Kisses supposed to mean from the other night.

My anxiety kept on hunting me since yesterday and I can't help but to drew conclusions inside my head. One time, I was doing the dishes when I smile out of nowhere while imagining things like, Alexis is looking for me, that he will hunt for me and such. Call me delusional but what can I do? I just like the guy.

Omg! How certain could I be when it comes to this thing?

"Sab!"

My forehead creased when I heard a man's voice behind. I immediately turn my head just to see Joshua walking towards me while he's adamantly swaying his yellow towel and will slightly bite it afterwards.

I scoff and began to walk again but he ran to join me in walking. "May assignment ka na sa Earth Sci?"

I puffed my bangs and shook my head. "I was uh..quiet busy last weekend and I forgot to make one. Pft." I answered and look at those grade seven students playing arnis.

"Weh? Neknek mo, Sabrina." He replied while still awkwardly biting his towel.

Tiningnan ko siya ng masama at agad naman niya akong nilingon. "Ano? Sus, maniwala ako!" He remove the towel on his mouth at pinalo pa ako gamit nun. "Ikaw? Walang assignment?" He scoff and look sideways, "like pigs can fly."

What the hell?

Huminto ako sa paglakad at tiningnan siya ng mabuti. I thought he will stop too but he kept on walking so I was left behind him.

"Hoy, Monkey!" I shouted at tinakbo siya.

"Totoo! Anong akala mo sa akin, Democritus?! Aba!"

Joshua smile sideways and itinaas ang buhok gamit ang kamay niya, "Gago, wala si Democritus sa Earth Sci!"

I laugh. "Bobo," tinakbo ko ang hagdanan at nilingon siyang muli, "hanap ka sagot ng assignment sa science, ako na bahala sa Accounting." After I said that, I wink at him at tinakbo na ang third floor.

Gosh! I almost forgot that I have to hear some chikas from Kisses. Maganda pa lang mood lifter iyong si Joshua. Nawala ang kaba ko ng mga five percent. Char.

Ma-jowa nga.

Char, ulit. May girlfriend 'yon, cousin niya. Naks! Lakas maka Elijah ang gago.

Once I finally step my shoe on the third floor, Justine is proudly standing near the staircase, raising a brow. He is holding his very proud iPhone at naka earphones pa!

Hulaan ko, wala pa itong assignment. Naghihintay lang din ng blessings.

"Wala!" I blurted before he was about to open his mouth.

"Hala. Tado, selfish."

I stop on my track at nakahawak na ako ngayon sa door, "wala nga!"
