Chapter Eleven (Poem: Day 4 of 41)

Day 4 of 41

If something forbids me to love you,
I would take the risk just to be with you
But if someone already holds you,

I throw a gaze at Vanessa who's making a crease on her forehead. She's looking at our top one, making some murmurs towards our Accounting teacher.

Napailing nalang ako. Mag e-exam na at lahat-lahat ta's puro paninira pa rin sila. I know na may mali rin naman 'yong teacher namin since he always lost his way while teaching but today is not the right time. Why not pour their own notes with their own attention? We only got less than twenty minutes and mas inuuna pa nila 'yang mga ganiyan.

"Sab..."

I look at Nemesis, walking straight to where I am sitting then grab the chair beside me.

"Hmm?" I answered while facing my notes again.

She put a test paper in front of me, and she lay it above my desk. "Saan nga ulit 'to kinuha?" She ask while pointing at the seven digits number printed on our test paper.

Oh. Financial Statements.

I grab it and check for it awhile before putting it back above the desk. This part sometimes confused me lalo na't lalabas sa income statement na negative ang result so it just simply means na there is a loss in profit. But on this case, deretso nalang ito so this girl shouldn't make a fuss out of it.

"List all the assets ni Company ABC and then just simply make a close and open parenthesis to indicate na minus 'yon since expenses ang isusunod mo. That, 1,050,000 is the company's total expenses so 'wag mong ilagay sa ibaba ng numerong iyan." Patukoy sa total ng assets and liabilities.

"So, saan ba dapat?"

"Dapat nasa ibaba 'yan mismo ng expenses. Total 'yan, bago mo ilagay sa ibaba ng 3,056,700."

I saw her nodding while still staring at her paper. She motioned me to wait while she's studying the numbers and so, binalingan ko muna ang notes ko.

"Nga pala," I uttered at nilingon si Nemesis sa gilid ko, "may final notes ka sa adjusting entries?"

She shook her head and knotted her forehead again. "Ano na naman 'yan? Kasali pa ba 'yan?" She gasp at me.

"Pumapasok ka pa ba? Walanghiya ka talaga, Nemesis." I spat at her but she just laugh.

Palibhasa kasi nasa classroom nalang siya palagi ng mga Home Economics students. May girlfriend eh. Sana all.

Nilingon ko si Aiza na katabi ni Michelle at nagtanong, "Aiz, may notes ka sa adjusting entries?"

I saw her knotting a forehead bago binuklat ang columnar na dala niya. "Hala! Iyon pala ang nakalimutan kong isulat!" Nilingon niya ang kaibigang si Mary Grace at tinanong. "Alam kong may copy ka, pahiram adjusting entries."
