XX. Right feels wrong

The night's so solemn, so magical.

Pero nasira ito dahil sa duguang katawan ng isang lalaking ang kasalanan lang ay ang magmahal.

Tulala lang ako habang pinagmamasdan ang lalaking nagngangalang Marco habang nakahandusay sa lupa. Umiiyak namang nakayakap sa malamig niyang bangkay si Rina, isang prinsesa ng Kasem.

Dumating ang mga magulang niya kasabay ng ilan pang mga kawal. Pilit siyang pinatayo at ipinasok sa karwahe.

Princess Rina is engaged with Prince Primo of Avales. But she loves Marco, one of their soldiers. They planned to escape but unluckily caught.

Pero bago pa siya makapasok sa karwahe ay nilingon nya ako. "You should have let me die on that cliff" she said with gritted teeth.

As her carriage ran away, I felt a tear falling down my cheeks. Agad ko itong pinunasan.

"Ayos ka lang ba?" asked Nickolas beside me. I have many questions for him. Why is he here? How come he's that golden knight? But I'm too tired to process another thing in my mind.

"I did the right thing but... why does it feels so wrong?" I asked out of the blue. Niligtas ko si Rina pero bakit parang pakiramdam ko ay lalo ko lang siyang ipinahamak?

"There are some people who prefer to meet up with death because even though they're still breathing, life already left them dying. What's worse is that they are feeling it everyday." napalingon ako kay Nickolas. He seems to know many deep things. He must have gone through many hardships. And I'm afraid that it's all because of Victoria-- who seems to look like me.

"But life is still worth living after all, isn't it?" nginitian niya naman ako at tumango.

"Yet, it is. Someday, Princess Rina will find a reason to live life again." saad niya.

"You should rest now, Eerah. This day must have been so tiring for you."

Today is monday but it's already sembreak here. Ewan ko ba, march palang pero ang lamig na. This season was supposed to be summer in the mortal world.

Being a princess is quite a pain in the ass. You know, you should always wear gowns and crown even inside your room. Heck, ang hirap gumalaw.

I went outside the room just to be greeted by maids and soldiers. The king is in a meeting in Aspel together with the queen. I should be the one to join them pero si Ariel nalang ang isinama nila dahil sa tingin nila ay hindi pa ako maayos dahil sa nangyari kagabi.

While Victor, Victoria's seven years old brother is in his room, busy being tutored. I've never seen him playing around. Nakakalungkot lang dahil ang bata niya pa para matutok nang ganoon sa pag-aaral. He should enjoy his youth.

I'm walking in the hallway together with Nick when a maid approached me.

"Prince Ethan is waiting for you at the balcony, your highness." napakunot naman ako. Ang aga aga naman niya.

"Is he with Ashley?" tanong ko pero umiling siya. Napalingon ako kay Nick pero nakakunot din ang noo niya. Anong ginagawa ni Ethan dito?

"Sige, pupunta na kami." saad ko sa maid at nagpatuloy ng paglalakad. Pero huminto rin ako nang may maalala.

"Ay, saan palang balcony?" I said and let an awkward smile. Ang rami kayang balkonahe sa palasyo.

"Dito po," saad niya at naglakad. Sinundan naman namin siya.

We went in the third floor of the palace. There are vacant rooms na nadadaanan namin. At sa dulo ay nandoon ang balkonahe.

Ethan is standing there, pinapagmasdan ang kabuuan ng kaharian. Lumapit ako sa kanya habang nasa pinto naman naiwan si Nick.
