After telling Dakota my secret, she went silent. I sat down on the bed next to her. I'm not sure how she actually taking this because on the outside she seemed calm but her heart was racing. She sighed crossing her arm looking at me.
"Dakota.."
"What?" she was irritated.
"Are you okay,"
"Why did you keep this secret away from me this whole time?" she asked. I made a move to hold her but she moved away.
"Baby don't do this. I'm sorry," I begged, She sighed and looked away.
"What a mate," she blushed.
"Do you have an idea of what it is?"
"No. That's why I asked you....I heard Jayde and Kai talking about something in her room,"
"So you was eavesdropping?"
"No. I just had happened to walk past and thought they was talking about a book and I listened.... Secretly," she pouted. I smiled at her cuteness.
"A mate is a person that you wake up for everyday and breathe for," I kissed her on the cheek
" So I am your mate," I nodded at her. She blushed at the thought of.
"I'm sorry that I kept this from you. I was a coward, afraid of you not wanting me anymore and go with someone else."
"Rather not go out with anyone else," She gleamed. I kissed her as she responded. I deepened the kiss and it turned into making out.
