I groan at the sun streaming from my window, throwing a pillow over my head to block out the brightness. Just as I close my eyes to fall back asleep my alarm decides to go off.

I sigh before sitting up in the bed and opening my eyes, immediately feeling my head pounding. The headache and the alarm going off wasn't the best mix. I turn attempt to turn off my blaring alarm clock to no avail.

My next attempt is to unplug it, I succeed, falling off the bed in the process.

I clutch my head, the sharp pain increasing.

"Well good morning, sleeping beauty." A voice speaks from my door. I look up, my eyes slightly squinting at the bright room.

I see Stefan, leaning against my door way. My mind flickers back to the night before, when Klaus had been in the same position.

I slightly forgot about inviting him in and literally leading him to my room. I was lucky I didn't wake up with bite marks or dead for that matter.

"Oh god, what do you want?" I mutter, rubbing my eyes and standing.

"A guy can't stop by and say Happy Birthday to his old friend?" He says.

"Thought you were too preoccupied being obsessed with Klaus. Tell me, how is it taking care of his daggered siblings?" I say with a smile, sitting on my bed and looking to my night stand for my locket.

I remember taking it off last night. And I remember Klaus picking it up to look at it in curiosity.

Before I can react to the missing locket Stefan speaks again.

"I have been rather distracted. But doesn't mean I can't make time for little Scarlett." I roll my eyes at the comment.

"18 isn't so little." I say crossing my arms.

"Funny story, while waiting for you to wake up I found this little guy." He says, with a smile before pulling out a familiar hot pink diary from behind his back.

I recognized it immediately as the diary I kept from freshman year. Just as the Salvatores entered town, bringing all their chaos with them.

I stand up with my mouth agape. I attempt to snatch the book from Stefan's hand but he only dodges me.

"Seriously Stefan stop." I say, giving him a small push as he only lets out a boyish laugh.

"Who would've known little Scarlett had such a big crush on me...I had no idea you thought my jawline could cut apples..." He trailed off, breaking out into laughs as he held the book up high. My nose scrunches in disgust as I attempt to reach for the book again.

"Okay okay thats enough!"

"Oh but, Scarlett. I wasn't the only man you gave your heart to." He says, jokingly pouting as my eyes widen.

"Stefan-"

"Damon's eyes sparkled like diamonds. And my eyes always stayed on them like a magnet." He reads, mocking my voice in an over exaggerating tone.

I finally snatch the book from the man, slamming it shut and glaring at him.

"I was 15 dude. Luckily I've come to my senses." I grimace, tucking the book under my arm as he only laughs in response.

I remember being overly excited whenever the two brothers came over. I would dress up and do my hair whenever Elena mentioned them visiting. And I always begged to tag along to whatever was going on.

Hormones were raging what can I say.

"I'm flattered." He says, placing a hand on his heart. I only shake my head and turn to look into my closet.
