"Delicious. Aged to perfection." Klaus smiles, stepping over the body. I glare at the man who didn't even seem phased.

"Well, I guess the only reason you agreed to this evening, Klaus, is to drive a wedge between me and my brother." Stefan speaks again, reminding me of his presence.

"Oh no, you're doing that well enough on your own. Because of Elena, you're gonna lose your brother and you'll only have yourself to blame." He says cockily just as Damon and Elijah re-enter.

"What do you say, Klaus? It's time for you to put something on the table. We've made our offer, now you counter." Damon says, I don't know what Elijah said to him but it must've calmed him down.

"Okay. I offer Elena's future happiness. You see, what she needs right now is to be rid of you lot. And to fall in love with a human, maybe that nice football player, you know the blond one?" He says in amusement.

"Matt Donovan? Really?" I ask with a brow raised.

"Yeah, why not? They'll marry, live a long and fruitful life, and pop out a perfect family.
Stefan: And continue the Petrova bloodline. Every few hundred years, you'll have a new doppelgänger to drain and never run out of hybrids, right Klaus?" Stefan asks, putting two and two together.

"Consider it a small return on my investment in her well-being. See, after you hand me back the coffin, I'll ensure her safety for the rest of her natural life. I'll offer the same for Scarlett of course." He explains, momentarily looking towards me.

"So you wanna continue to chase after Scarlett despite you claiming we would ruin Elena's life. Can you see the hypocrisy?" Stefan says, a hint of annoyance laced in his tone as Klaus takes a few small steps towards him.

"Do we have a deal or not?"

Stefan then starts approaching Klaus as well.

"What are you doing?" Damon's voice raises.

Klaus then holds out a hand. Stefan grabs it.

"Nice try, Klaus. But no deal." He spits. Before I can even process what happened Klaus snap Stefan's arms and then kicks his legs, breaking them as well. He drags Stefan to the fire place and holds his hand to the fire.

I see Damon attempt to rush over to him, only to be intercepted by Elijah and shoved against a wall.

I hear Stefan's scream and run towards him.

"Stop, you're hurting him!" I raise my voice as he only looks towards me for a moment.

Seriously what happened to eating and talking these guys are obsessed with violence.

"Now, bring me my coffin before I burn him alive." He says, looking towards Damon.

"I'll get it." Damon snaps, obviously angered.

"Go with him, brother. You keep him honest. And when you return, I will make good on my promise to you and I will hand over our family." He says with a smirk, still holding Stefan's arm to the fire.

Damon and Elijah exit the room swiftly and I look back to the man.

"Seriously what the fuck." I speak in annoyance about the whole night.

"Go ahead and kill me. I know you'll do it when he brings the coffin." Stefan grunts, Klaus then pulls him from the fire.

"You really have given up, haven't you? Where's the fight? Where's the rippah?" He patronizes, pushing Stefan. Stefan pushes him back and this fight is almost starting to remind me of a middle school one.

"Stop acting so childish." I snap, placing a hand on both of their chests in attempt to stop their bickering and fighting.

Suddenly Elijah and Damon re enter with the woman servant who was holding a new tray.

"Elijah...why haven't you left?" Klaus looks up in confusion.

"Where are you manners, brother? We forgot dessert." He patronizes before pulling the cover off the tray. Two silver daggers lie on it. Klaus's face drops immediately as he steps closer cautiously. I feel a hand on the small of my back as I watch the scene unfold.

"What have you done?" He asks, wide eyed. I don't think I've ever seen the man so scared.

"What have you done? You see, I've learned not to trust your vulgar promises, Klaus. We're doing this on my terms now." He announces before another man enters the room. He looked a lot like Elijah but was obviously younger and more boyish in comparison.

"Kol." Klaus speaks, obviously recognizing the dark haired man who only smirks in response.

"Long time, brother." He says as Klaus begins to back away. So that must be one of the brothers in the coffins. Suddenly another man, one who looked more mature appears and stabs a dagger through Klaus's hand. A wave of shock rushes over his eyes.

I found myself feeling bad.

"Finn, don't!" He pleads, attempting to rush away but being blocked by none other than Rebekah, still dressed in her homecoming dress. I guess its good she's undaggered.

"Rebekah!" She suddenly stabs Klaus with a dagger.

"This is for our mother." She grits, pulling the dagger from him. He falls into his younger brothers arms where he restrains him. Elijah then looks to the three of us.

"You're free to go. This is family business." He announces. I then feel Stefan attempt to lead me out by my arm.

Before leaving I subconsciously turn back to give one last look. I meet the eyes of Klaus and i've truly never seen him scared. I then look to Rebekah who sent me a quick smile before I was pulled outside by Stefan.

"How does something just disappear from a coffin?" I ask, looking at the vacant box. The Salvatores seemed to make up a bit on the walk here which brought me a bit of joy. They never seemed to answer my questions on what would happen to Klaus.

I found myself thinking about him and his family quite a bit. I was so curious.

"Something living." Damon sighs before turning to Stefan.

"Get her home before we all hear a mouth full from Elena." He says as I roll my eyes.

Stefan only nods and looks to me before motioning to the door. The ride home is somewhat quite, mostly because my exhaustion and questions filled my thoughts.

"So do you think they're all gonna leave?" I break the silence.

"Hopefully." He says shortly with a small sigh. I go quiet again, thinking about the possibilities.

"Listen." Stefan begins, looking towards me.

"I'm sorry about the other night." He says, now looking back to the road and avoiding my gaze.

"I guess I can't really hold a grudge." I say making him chuckle slightly.

"I somewhat agree." He jokes as we pull into the drive way of my house.

"Thanks. I'll see you tomorrow." I say with a small smile. I really needed some sleep. I could feel the bags forming under my eyes.

Before I go to exit I feel a hand on mine. My eyes snap back to Stefan who was already looking at me. I see his features slightly soften. Something felt different about the way he looked at me. Like he had discovered something new.

"You did good today." He says, softly. If standing around helplessly was doing good, then I deserved a medal.

I smile. "You too." I respond before turning and sliding out of the car.

"Night." I say before turning on my heel and heading inside the house. I then hear the car take off.

What a day.
