"Found this in your attic." Tyler says, unwrapping the sword Elena and Stefan has asked me, Tyler and Caroline to retrieve.

"No thanks to you by the way." I add, narrowing my eyes at the man who only watches in amusement from where he sat.

"And you think finding the sword brings you closer to the cure?" Klaus raises a brow.

"You tell me. I was playing around with the handle on the ride over, and I found this." Tyler says, unwrapping the leather on the top of the sword revealing some sort of turning device. Klaus gets up and walks towards us.

"And what do you think 'this' is?"

"It's called a cryptex." I say with a shrug. All three look to me in confusion. "Have you guys not seen The da Vinci Code?" I say rolling my eyes, before grabbing sword.

"You turn the different sides to the different symbols to get the translation on the other side." I say, turning to little symbols in random directions. "And with the magic of the internet, Elena sent over these." I hold up the print-outs of Jeremy's tattoos.

"So now all we have to do is cryptex away? Sounds way to easy." Caroline says.

Well If someone in the room that happened to know more about the sword wanted to help, I wouldn't stop them." I say, looking to Klaus who only smirks.

"Right. Well, might I suggest using the magic of the internet to purchase an Aramaic-to-English dictionary from your nearest retailer." He says, again showing off that 'i know more than you do' smirk.

"What's Aramaic?" Tyler asks, looking to me and Caroline.

"It's a dead language. It hasn't been used since, like, biblical times." Caroline says in confusion.

"Qetsiyah's native tongue, I'm guessing." He says, clasping his hands behind his back casually. "You know, even if you had the best dictionary in the world, it could take days to translate." He says, taking a seat. "Perhaps weeks...In bas so-teen-too ara-ma-eet." Klaus says. I look to him in confusion.

"What does that mean?"

"If only you spoke Aramaic." A small smile spreads across his face as my confusion turns to annoyance- along with everyone else in the room.

"Okay, this is it. We've translated all the symbols on the tattoo." Caroline says. "Passage inside...requires a young senator, and a pretty flower. Okay, none of this makes sense!" The irritation in her voice is clear. I bring my fingers up to rub my temples, hoping the headache would disappear.

Lets just say decoding a dead language isn't the best past time.

"Requires a powerful witch and a hunter in full bloom." Klaus speaks up, ever so casually as if he hadn't heard us struggling for at least two hours.

"Why are you helping?" Tyler asks, his tone gruff.

"I don't need to tell you my reasons. Scarlett. Bring my sword over here." He speaks. I exchange looks with Caroline before standing from the couch and grabbing the sword. I approach the man.

"Silas rests on the far side, the means of his destruction at hand." He reads, before glancing to the picture of Jeremy's tattoo. "Turn the cryptex to the right." He says, to which I oblige. "Stop. The top of the hilt reveals a key to a nautical map. Turn it to the left." I turn it again, listening intently. "Now turn the other piece." I do it again. He pauses, as if he's caught off guard. "There's something else."

He reads off some sentence in Aramaic- which I had no idea what was being said. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

"What does that mean?" I ask. He only smiles at me. "Klaus what does it mean?"
