Chris's message comes through and you're not exactly sure how to answer. You want to be there for him but he's not giving you much to play on. You decide to test your luck and hope what you say next doesn't upset him.

You:
Well... You could show me who you
really are. I'm not a very judging person.
And honestly, I don't like all the social media
attention. It makes my anxiety so much
worse. We don't even have to become anything
other then friends if you don't want to.

You send the message and anxiety fills your body. What if it makes him mad? What if he thinks I don't see myself being with him since I said we don't have to be anything? What if he thinks I'm just like the other girls and I'm just saying stuff to make him feel better? The questions run rampant through your head, and then your phone goes off.

Chris😍:
I think I'd like that. No HAVING to
try and impress you. I can be myself.
And if something comes out of it, then
So,etching comes out of it and it was
built on trust, and communication. 😊

You read the message and smile. Even if nothing comes of you and Chris, at least you'll know you have a friend, and so will he.

You:
Okay, deal! Now! Please cheer up.
I really don't like sad Chris. He kind of
harshes the vibe, ya know? 😉

Chris😍:
Wow! Being mean already?! How
rude of you! 🥺

You:
Oh come on! I was kidding! You can
stay sad as long as you'd like, but I will
continue to try and cheer you up! That
is a promise!

Chris😍:
Oo, a feisty one, I like it. 😉

You:
And we're back! 😂

Chris and you text back and forth for a little bit longer picking on each other about being sad and being feisty. You can't help but smile the whole time, in just one conversation you can tell there's more to this boy than he likes to show, and you're willing to put in the time and effort to see who he really is. Just hopefully he feels the same way about you.
