Xavier

The bottle of whiskey in my hand as I sit on the floor in my office. Broken glass and shattered furniture along with blood splattering the floor, the walls and the ceiling.

Taking a gulp of whiskey and then chugging it, I throw the empty glass bottle into the wall in front of me until it shatters into a million pieces.

The pain inside my heart is too much for me to even care about the fact that my office is a mess like my life has become.

A knock on the door and then the door opens and Alex walks inside. I roll my eyes, wishing I could put a bullet in his brain.

He walks over to me and only stares at me, as if he's trying to figure me out but fuck him. "Fuck off, Alex!" I harshly say to him.

He shakes his head as he sits down on a broken chair that is on three legs. "No, I'm not leaving. I lost the connection I had with the gang that took her and now we're on square one which I won't let happen. I will fix this and we will find them" He tells me.

I shake my head. "She's dead, Alex. She's not coming back and brining her body isn't going to help either. I just have to face it and move on" I tell him as I pick up another bottle of whiskey and open it.

Brining it to my mouth but before I could take a sip he takes the bottle away from me. "No, you're drunk" He says as he attempts to help me up but I take a gun that was on the floors and point it at him.

"Careful or you will get another bullet and this time in your head" I warn him and almost let out a growl. The anger inside me wants only to get satisfied but it can't.

Not until every one of that gang have a fucking bullet in their brain and even then I know it will never be enough. Alex doesn't look afraid of me.

I narrow my eyes at him in anger. "The vengeance you will have on them. They have started to kill our spies before they can report back to us. The latest one was tortured before killed and sent back to us. There is something they aren't telling us but I'm going to find out and then we will destroy them. Every last one of them are going down" He says.

It seems Alex is just as angry with them as I am for some reason but I don't question it but I do agree with him. I look up at him and take the bottle and drink half of it.

"What is the plan?" I ask him to see him smirking evilly at me and it brings a chuckle out of me. This is for you Evangeline, I'm going to avenge you...

Evangeline

Sitting down grinning from ear to ear in my father's office, sitting in his chair like I own it while he is not in here but the door opens and he walks in.

"It would appear you've made yourself comfortable" He says and I smirk at him. My clothing covered in blood. "Of course, this is after all the family business. Am I correct?" I ask before I let out a laugh as I lean back in the chair and put my feet up on the table.

He rolls his eyes. "Annoyingly as it is, you appear to be the only family that I do have at the moment. Now, is it done?" He asks me.

Scoffing I roll my eyes. "Would I be here if he were still alive?" I ask him. I'm getting sick of how they all underestimate me and what I can do.

I feel better than ever and I'm more ruthless than I've ever been, I'm just getting started. "I don't know, why are you here?" He asks me as he leans against the wall behind me. I chuckle.

"I want my payment, this doesn't come cheap" I tell him and turn around in the chair to face my father who only raises an eyebrow at me. "What did you have in mind?" He asks.

I give him a wicked smile before I stand from the chair. "I thought you'd never ask" I say grinning. "What I want is what you want" I say with a smirk.

"The most powerful gang in the world. I want us to rule the world, together. What I want more than anything is to put a bullet in Xavier Knight's head..." I say.
