This book started as a bundle of ideas I had in my head that I wrote down in my notes on my mobile. I never intended to turn it into a long story, let alone a book but the more I wrote the more invested I was becoming with the story and the characters. The story went from a one off short story to needing to be transferred from notes to a word document then separated into chapters. When I was finished I wasn't ready to leave the story behind so I began writing a sequel which turned into a trilogy so there will be 3 books in total. The Story of Us is the beginning.
I feel like I know Mika well in my head so I will try my best to get that out in the chapters as when I was originally writing this I knew her backstory. To adapt the story for others to, hopefully enjoy and get to know the Mika I know in my head, I am in the process of editing the book so it is still a work in progress.
Mikas music career, style of music, growth of her music and songs are based around Taylor Swifts career and albums. She is NOT based on Taylor herself though, just her music.
