Chapter Twelve

June, 2015
Namjoon and Mika had spent most the following morning in bed. He had been biting his tongue the entire time to not tell her he loved her. He knew it was way too soon and following his conversation with Sejin the previous day his head was a mess. He knew his feelings for her were genuine, but he also loved his job and he was responsible for the others guys too.

As Namjoon was in the shower Mika was working. She had been in the studio for the past 2 months working hard on her new album. She had been taking her time with this album as she wanted to release something she was completely happy with instead of an album with songs thrown together for quickness. Namjoon came out the bathroom, dressed for the day and wrapped his arms around Mika from behind as she worked.

"How is it going?" he asked
"Good, I am really happy with how this album is progressing. It is a bit different from previous albums, less country. I am shitting myself how it will be received though." Mika said leaning her head back against his chest, breathing in his scent
"People will love it. It doesn't matter what genre you sing, you are so incredibly talented Mika." He replied, "Can I hear a bit of it?"
"I can play Everything Has Changed for you if you want?" she asked nervously

He broke into a smile and nodded; he had been looking forward to her playing this for him since he heard the final recorded version. It was the first time he was getting to hear her sing it in front of him. She smiled back as she picked up her guitar, she moved to the floor as it was one of her favourite places to play. He sat on the floor in front of her as she started playing. He loved watching her sing, especially like this, just sitting on the floor with her guitar. He could see her talent shining through. When she was finished she giggled as he moved her guitar away and pulled her onto his lap, kissing her. He was so proud of her. He loved the song so much and the fact it was for him made it more special. The door opening pulled them apart.

"Sorry, I should have knocked." Millie said turning around quickly as she saw them
"It's fine, come in." Mika laughed still sitting on Namjoons lap and holding onto him
"Hair and make up are on their way, we will be leaving soon for the meet and greet." Millie said
"This morning has gone so fast." Mika pouted looking back at Namjoon
"I know but I need to get going now anyway. Dance practice starts soon and Hobi will make me work harder if I am late." He said placing soft kisses on her lips
"Are you still coming over tonight?" she asked her fingers playing with the ends of his hair
"Of course but I'll need to leave early in the morning as we are flying to LA in the afternoon." He replied
"How typical that you are going to be in the states and I am in asia." She laughed

He laughed back before they stood up. Millie had been watching them from afar. She could tell her sister was absolutely smitten with this man. Namjoon got his things together and gave Mika one last lingering kiss before leaving. Mika pouted slightly as the door closed and flopped onto the sofa. Millie sat beside her.

"So things seem to be going well with you two." She said
"After Richard using me the way he did I didn't think I would find someone who doesn't have an agenda in wanting to be with me." Mika sighed
"Well look how that turned out for him. His career is going down the toilet. I am with Katie; I approve of him. Namjoon is a good guy and he clearly worships you." Millie said
"Millie, I am falling for him." Mika smiled shyly looking at her sister
"You deserve it." Millie smiled back,
"He makes me so happy and I feel safe when he is around me." She said
"He is definitely a keeper, but I am your number 1 bitch!" Millie giggled jumping on top of Mika as she screamed

Namjoon and the guys had been working hard at dance practice for the past couple of hours. Their dances were getting more complex and it was taking longer for them all to nail them, even the dancers of the group. During a break he was sitting on the floor talking to Yoongi.

"Were things ok with Mika last night?" Yoongi asked
"Yeah, I was just overthinking yesterday." He replied
"You know she really does care for you. We can all see it. You need to stop comparing yourself to her exs or anyone else for that matter." Yoongi said
"I realised last night that I am in love with her Yoongi. Absolutely head over heels completely in love." Namjoon said running a hand through his hair
"What about Sejin and the big bosses?" he asked him
"I don't know. Sejin said he can't cover for me again and I wouldn't expect him to. He is putting his own job on the line. I know if I go to Bang PD he will make me end the relationship so I think the only thing I can do is come clean with Mika now, tell her that the company don't know and hope she is ok with keeping it quiet." Namjoon answered
"when are you going to talk to her?" he asked
"We are off to LA tomorrow and she is going to Hong Kong the day after, so I don't want to drop it on her then run. I want our last night together to be special, I have booked a table in her hotel restaurant so we can go on an actual date and I've ordered flowers to her hotel suite which should be arriving soon. I will do it this time though; I promise but not tonight." Namjoon assured Yoongi

Namjoon knew the time had come to tell her the truth, he loved her too much now to continue pretending and he owed it to her as well. She had been lied to in her previous relationship, he had consoled her over the phone as she sobbed at the betrayal, he could hear the pain she was in. It broke him hearing her in such a way, not only as someone he liked but as someone he considered a close friend. He never wanted her to feel like that ever again. It was going to be a tough conversation; however it was now a much needed one.

Mika had not long returned from her meet and greet. She had no more work for the rest of the day so she was hanging out with Millie in her suite watching a movie. It had been a while since the two of them were able to do this, so they were making the most of it. They had their PJs on, popcorn, sweets and ice cream with blankets on the large sofa.

A sudden knock at the door made them look at each other. Millie got up to answer it and saw the hotel concierge standing with a massive bouquet of pink lillies and roses. He bowed and handed them over. Millie smiled as she walked back into the room with them.

"Holy shit." Mika said seeing them

She jumped over the back of the sofa and ran over to the table Millie sat had them on. Millie handed her the small envelope as she admired the flowers. Mika opened the envelope and immediately broke into a massive smile when she saw the handwritten note as Millie giggled. Just seeing his handwriting gave her butterflies.

'Mika, I just wanted you to know how much I have missed you and the last couple of days have been amazing seeing you again. I want to take you out on our first official date tonight. I will pick you up at 8pm, dress up. See you later baby, NJ xxx'

"Damn he is romantic!" Millie smiled as Mika handed her the card

Roses were her favourite flowers and pink was her favourite colour. She loved them. A smile creeping onto her face as she sniffed them, excitement coming over her at the thought of him taking her on a date too. Mika apologised that their movie would have to wait as she wanted to get ready.

"Mika, I would be dragging you into that bathroom if you even thought of going back to the movie so don't be sorry. We have 3 hours so you get your ass in the shower and I will arrange the flowers for you!" Millie said jumping around and clapping as Mika laughed
