“I will never hurt you ever again, I promise.”

She stared at me for some time.

It was hard to understand what was going on inside her.

She finally gave a soft smile and let out a yawn.

“Good night, Mr.Martínez.” and slowly drifted off to sleep.

I stared at her sleepy face.

April

Ughhhh….stop.

I slammed the alarm clock on the table to make it stop.

My head throbbing from pain.

I slowly open my eyes, bright sunlight hitting my face.

What the hell happened yesterday?

I didn’t have to put much pressure in my mind yesterday’s event came flashing back to me.

His face came flashing back to me.

How Angelina forced those drinks in my mouth.

That explains my headache.

I slowly got up and looked back at the clock.

7:30 Am.

There’s no rush today.

After all that happened yesterday, there is no reason for me to go back there anymore. I am not getting the job anyway.

I left a soft sigh and went to the washroom to freshen up.

After freshening up I went downstairs.

“Good morning mom.”

My mom gave a weird look

What’s with her?

“Good morning,” she replied.

“What’s with you?”

“Where is Dad?” I said munching a toast.

“He went out with his friends yesterday.”

That pretty much explains why I got to hear birds chirping in the morning.

I look up to see my mom still staring at me.

“What?”

“Nothing.” she turned her back to me and started pouring milk in a glass.

She passed me the glass and took a seat in front of me

“You never said you have such a handsome boss.”

I almost got choked in the milk.

I let out a cough.

“oh dear,” my mother quickly patted me in the back.

“What?” I asked still shocked by her sudden question.

“How do you know him?”

“I don’t know him, I just met him yesterday, he seems to be a gentleman,” she said with a smile on her face.

“Okay….what?”

“Where did you met him?”

“Don’t you remember anything?” now my mom gave a shocked reaction.

“What do I not remember?”

“You passed out in your office so he came to drop you off yesterday.”
