Buildings and street lights passed by me; my decisions that I initiated started to affect me slowly. Did I do the right thing? Even though we were in the same car there weren't many words exchanged between us. The black beauty that we were seated in came to a halt as I looked outside the window to witness beautiful scenery.

'' we're here Capo '' The driver said as I got out of the car.

The moment my heels clicked against the ground I slightly missed my balance, god the last thing I wanted to do was embarrass myself. But I was grateful for those hands that wrapped around my waist that saved me from my almost tragic fall.

'' Be careful '' He whispered his hold on my waist was strong like iron that held me in place flush against him.

My God

He was handsome.

Jesus Snap out of it jade!

'' Thank you,'' I replied gazing into his features.

A throat cleared behind us which brought me out of my daze and I stood straight and kept a good measure of the distance between us.

''Capo, keys '' the driver spoke as Nicholas took the key's from his hands and kept it in his pocket.

'' Grazie '' Nicholas replied and kept his hand on the small of my back as he slight pushed me forward indicating that I moved towards the direction ahead of me.

His fingertips which were placed on my back brought warmth and heated flow to rush through my skin and flesh. But he only kept it there for a few minutes the minute he found me walking forward he retracted his hand back.

My eye's looked ahead as I noticed that we were not in some expensive place but rather a park?

A park... Really?

I turned my gaze to him only to find his sight set on the table ahead of us. The grass brushing against my heels made soft mushy noises as I walked forward. Once we reached the booth I took a glance at the setup, It wasn't too bad, to be honest. The table cloth was a beautiful mixture of silver and white.

The chairs were a metallic silver colour and the plates which were in front of me were charcoal black. There were no candles instead there was a small lamp at the centre of the table. As I sat down I internally groaned finally, my feet can rest.

I closed my eye's for a second just relishing the feeling of satisfaction and reopened them to find Nicholas watching me like a lion. He snapped his fingers and a server came forward with a red classic wine as he poured some for me and another server came with whiskey pouring Nicholas a glass.

A peaceful but awkward silence fell upon us as I continued to sip my wine. Nicholas finally tore his gaze away from me and glanced at his plate ahead of him, he looked deep in thought as if he was trying to negotiate with himself if he should go further and ask me a question that seemed to itch his skin a lot.

'' So how many girls have this privilege to have this kind of dinner with you? '' I asked him pointing at all the hard labour around the booth.

'' Not many. Just a few, here and there.'' He tells me drinking his glass of whiskey.

'' How many dates have you been on? '' He asked me.

'' None. I didn't have the time.'' I told him truthfully.

'' So... What do you do? '' I asked him since this silence would end up killing me.

He looked at me for a good measurable amount of a minute and replied thoughtfully.

'' I am a businessman.''

'' Businessman? What business do you do? '' I questioned as I leaned back on my chair rest.

'' I have casino's, clubs, bar's and all the dirty work.'' He answered starring right at my soul.

'' What about you? What's your profession? '' He urged looking behind me as he snapped his fingers again and I cringed at that action... That's rude

'' I work as a manager for Mia Well's, you know taking care of all her businesses and stuff.'' I replied as I whispered a small 'thank you to the server who placed our dishes in front of us.

I looked at my plate which was filled with Alfredo pasta the heavenly smell of strong garlic mixed with cheese made my taste buds twist. My mouth started salivating at the dish kept in front of me. I immediately picked up my fork and dug in picking up the food I placed it in my mouth closing my eyes I relished the taste of it in my mouth and I moaned loudly.

I suddenly opened my eyes and found deep brown ones looking at me, Piercing my skin with his gaze. He smirked and gave me a cocky look.

'' Sorry, It's just that I haven't eaten all day and this pasta is amazing,'' I stated as I kept my fork down.

'' You didn't eat all day? Don't you have a lunch break? '' Nicholas questioned

''Of course, I do, I eat muffins, croissants, salad, hotdogs--''

'' Those are snacks, not lunch'' He barged in and cut me off.

'' Well... I don't have much time to pack lunch for myself. '' I replied honestly and sipped my wine.

'' Well, I'm glad you liked my pasta.'' He declares and I almost choke on my food.

'' y-you made this, I find it hard to believe when you've got that bandage on your palm,'' I said as I pick up a penne and pointed my finger towards it then towards his hand.

'' Oh, I got this from trying to stop my brother's from ripping each other's skin off. '' He told me and I looked at him shocked.

'' Your the peacemaker in the family huh?'' I asked

'' No that's my sister.'' He answered as he took a bite of his pasta.

'' Really? What's your role then? '' I asked him as I was biting my creamy chicken.

'' A Silent Killer. ''
