So Giyuu can be OOC in this because I said so haha. Also, spoiler and slight angst.

♤♡◇♧

Tomioka Giyuu isn't a very sociable person.

Some says he is a man with no friends.

On the contrary, he had Sabito.

But then Sabito was gone because he was weak. Giyuu didn't want to remember because remembering always made him hurt to the point that he wants to cry. He got better over the years but there would never be anything that could fill the void that Sabito left.

And Giyuu always wondered why he was alive since he was the weaker one. He always questioned why someone like Sabito died when it could have been Giyuu.

Even his sister sacrificed herself for Giyuu, someone who doesn't even deserve to be alive. Why did all those good people ended up dying because of him..?

But then Naomi-sama came to his life and she was very different. She insisted that he calls her Nao but Giyuu never did since technically she is still an Ubuyashiki.

Nao-sama, the younger sister of Oyakata-sama has always been a huge contrast to her brother.

She was talkative and not very formal unlike the Oyakata-sama. She also talks to Giyuu without really expecting anything from him and she doesn't seem to mind that he rarely talks.

Giyuu doesn't really know how to explain himself but with Nao-sama, she doesn't mind that he's quiet. She seems content that he would listen and she never forces him to say anything he doesn't want.

Giyuu liked the fact that she respected his privacy since people always got the wrong impression about him and he easily gets misunderstood.

When it comes to Nao-sama, that doesn't seem to be the case. She smiles at him, talks to him freely and doesn't mind sharing her thoughts.

It was nice.

At first, it bothered Giyuu that the younger sister of Oyakata-sama invited him to visit her atleast once a month and because she was related to the Oyakata-sama, he didn't want to disappoint and went to visit her once a week instead.

Giyuu doesn't want to assume anything but she actually seemed really happy he was there, something that always surprises him since he's used to being alone.

To actually have someone that wanted you..

Someone cared enough. Someone wanted him. Someone trusted him.

Nao-sama always reminded Giyuu of Sabito, the happy memories he shared with the gingerhead since they  both share the same cheerful smile and carefree laugh.

Even though remembering always hurts, Giyuu doesn't feel so sad when it's Nao-sama because she isn't really Sabito and he knows they are two different people. It made him somewhat happy and sad.

Nao-sama was the first to trust him again after a long time and Giyuu felt just a tad bit happy to know that someone believes in him even though he's weak and doesn't deserve being a pillar or a demon slayer for that matter.

So Giyuu promised himself, he would protect Nao-sama and never let her disappear the same way Sabito did. He would watch over her and never let her get hurt. It would be his one step towards redemption.

Giyuu would do his best since he doesn't want to lose someone again. Especially not someone as kind and pleasant as Nao-sama.

But then before he could even start redeeming himself, he was told that Nao-sama disappeared and no one knows where she wents.
