Your boyfriend John was a tough man but with you he was the most loved man in the world. He always praised you and never let a day go by without telling you how much he loved you.
You were prepared to go to a business party that John had done with another local farmer and he was waiting for you at the front porch of the house.
His eyes went to you as soon as he saw you go down the stairs. He smiled at you.
"You look beautiful, darling.", he said before holding you in his arms and kisses you.
"Thank you, John.", you smiled at him. "You look handsome as well."
He was finishing his drink when his daughter Beth showed up looking at both of you.
"You are looking great. Both of you.", Said Beth. She was known for her volatile temper, but Beth had accepted your relationship with her father. She said that her daddy was a happier man now and that he deserved that happiness.
"Thank you, Beth.", you said.
"Are you ready to go, darling?", John asked.
"I'm ready. ", you said.
"We still have half an hour in the rods to get there.", John said taking the car keys out of his coat pocket. "Let's go!"
