"Alex." I say.

Alex runs to me and I hand him a plate.

"Thank you, daddy." Alex says.

6 years ago, on December 25 2020, the human race went extinct. Here's what happened.

Flashback

I give Charli a box and she opens it.

"This is the best gift I've gotten in years." Charli says holding up a free Dunkin for life card.

I laugh and smile.

"I love you." I say.

"I love you too." She says.

I kiss her and she smiles.

"Aww." Dixie says.

Charli rolls her eyes and I hear a loud noise.

AMBER Alert

"Are you okay?" Dixie asks holding my hand.

"Yeah." I say as the noise continues.

Last year, an AMBER alert went out for my family. They were found, but not alive. They had been r*ped, cut, beaten, and then they threw their bodies in my pool. After that, the D'Amelios let me move in with them.

The AMBER alert was about a bomb. Not just a bomb, a nuke.

"Go to the bunker." Marc says.

We all go in the bunker and I hear screams. I hear a loud noise and I smell smoke.

"They're gone." Heidi says.

I heard the screams and the sound of people crying.

"We're the last people on Earth." Dixie says.

"I never got to use my card." Charli says.

We all look at her and she shrugs her shoulders.

You might we wondering how were the last people. Our tv is ahead of every other tv in the world. We got the alert before everyone else and no one else made it. Not even the people who launched the nuke. It was too powerful and they didn't make it.

"Y/n." Charli says.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"What happens after we die?" She asks.

"Nothing, we're gonna be like dinosaurs." I say.

"Unless they're more people who can have kids." She says.

"We're the only people alive." I say.

Wait. I look up at her and I could tell she meant. She wanted me to help her have kids. She's my girlfriend, but I don't know if I want kids. I wanted kids, but they're gonna be alone here.

"We could try it." I say.

"We don't have to..." She says.

"You just said that -" I say.

"Are you pregnant?" I ask.

"Yeah..." She says.

Oh my god. I knew I could be a dad, but I didn't know I could with Charli. She doesn't have a cycle. If she does, she hides it REALLY well.

"Oh my god." I say crying.

"Are you mad?" She asks.

"These are tears of joy." I say.
