After a lecture from Dad about the importance of being cautious when it came to unknown variables during fights and an explanation of how Mirio's quirk worked, the class was permitted to leave for the day. We all changed out of our gym uniforms and walked towards the dorm, nearly everyone limping or cradling an injury of some kind. I winced as I watched Shinso drag his leg as he walked. I couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for him.

"Why didn't you join us, you damn nerd?" Kacchan grumbled as he walked beside me, hand on his side and a scowl on his face. I shrugged and smiled slightly, it was good seeing Kacchan fail sometimes, it reminded him that he wasn't invincible and always gave me a good laugh if the situation was suitable of course.

"I didn't want to end up like you lot. I've experienced Mirio's punches before, they're not something I would like to experience again." I shrugged, a tinge of amusement slipping into my voice.

"Tch. You knew! Could have warned us you dickhead!" Kacchan yelled. I laughed at the anger in Kacchan's voice. He was about as scary as a puppy to me, no matter how loud he yelled.

"Then how would you have learnt a lesson, Kacchan. You'll be fine." I waved dismissively. Kacchan didn't reply after that. He simply scowled even more and refused to look at me, fixing his attention solely on his boyfriend and friend group. I knew his silent treatment wouldn't last too long, whenever we got into small arguments, we always ended up talking by the end of the day.

I continued walking towards the dorms, chatting with my friend's and laughing at Kyoka as she was carried on Momo's back. All throughout the short walk back towards the dorms, I could feel somebody's eyes on the back of my neck. The feeling of being watched made my skin crawl and heartbeat speed up a little. My mind couldn't help but wander to the bad things immediately. Was it Hisashi spying on me? Was he coming after me like he had my mother's body? Was he going to try and take me back to hurt me even more?

As these intrusive thoughts swarmed my mind, I moved a bit closer to Shoto. A sense of security washed over me at my proximity to my boyfriend. His arm came up and wrapped around my shoulder as he noticed me moving further into his side. "What's wrong, Love?" Shoto whispered just loud enough for me to hear, letting our friends continue to talk in jolly yet slightly pained voices.

"I-i can feel someone staring at me. It's just making me feel like something bad is going to happen to me concerning... him. Can you see anyone looking at us?" I whispered back with a wobble in my voice.

Shoto's head quickly popped up to survey our surroundings. His gaze swept past all of our classmates until he stopped for a second to look at someone. He waved slightly at that person as he lowered his head to speak in my ear. "Don't worry. It's just Ochako, nobody here is going to hurt you and he can't get to you, ok?" Shoto hummed in a reassuring tone. I nodded my head and sighed in relief.

It made sense. Why Ochako would be staring at me, that is. I had said we could speak after class, she was probably waiting for the chance to speak to me about the previous day. With the information that he wasn't actually around and I wasn't in danger, I let myself relax and just enjoy the rest of the walk to the dorms. The chilling autumn breeze whipping through my hair and the leaves on the trees around us beginning to fade from their luscious green to warmer tones of amber.

Once everyone arrived at the dorms, the entire room was filled with noise. Shouts from Kaminari reminding everyone about film and games night. The fridge door opening and closing as Yaomomo, Ojiro, Sato and Tokoyami all individually got after school snacks. Kacchan screaming explicits at Mina as he pulled a grinning Kirishima up the stairs behind him. The sounds which circulated around me sounded like home and comfort. Every raised voice and glass being placed on the marble countertop echoed around my head and nestled in my soul, inspiring warmth and joy.
