pulling over in front of the school gates, jaehyun stopped the car and let out a tiring yawn that he has been keeping for ever since he woke up early in the morning. he then looked to his side and gave the older beside him a small smile. ❝we are here.❞

as usual, he's just bringing him to school. even when he came home late last night as he had to head to the hospital after classes, the younger male still made an effort to wake up early and take taeyong to school. this is honestly worrying the male. ❝you look like you haven't been getting enough rest.❞

what is obvious? he just laughed it off. ❝i'm alright, nothing to worry about me.❞

shrugging it off, though he can't completely take it out of his mind, taeyong decided to just take his bag from the backseat. but before he can twist his body to do it, jaehyun had already done it first and reached out for both the older's bag and an extra coat that he got from his closet. he gave it all to the shorter male who still was trying to get used to him being like this.

❝now, i have placed a note there as to when in between classes you should go outside and get fresh air. i also arranged your medicines inside a small container so it wouldn't take up too much space in your bag.❞ humming, jaehyun had tapped his chin. ❝hm, what else— oh! since you skipped yesterday, i had asked notes from johnny and noted it down already so you don't have to think about it anymore. i highlighted the important words so you won't have a hard time catching up with the lesson today.❞

don't get him wrong, taeyong appreciated every single thing he was doing. it's just like watching his biker friend reminding him of his health every second of the day. however, he was thinking that this was too much already. ❝j-jaehyun.❞

❝before i forget,❞ it seems like he didn't hear the older male calling him out as he just continued to giving him everything he needed for the day. he was indeed spoiling him twice as much as before. ❝i bought two inhalers yesterday just in case you lose one. then, i had already put my number in your speed dial so don't hesitate to call me if something unusual happens, alright? if ever i don't answer, which is unlikely to happen as i'll always be alert at all times for you, you can call my driver to pick you up from here or my personal doctor which i also had put his number there.❞

taeyong was hesitant to take the inhalers from the younger's hand, but he had no choice as he didn't want to make it seem like all of his effort were put to no use. staying silent, he placed it inside his bag and continued to stay seated there. it really does seem like he was hanging out with a doctor rather than someone whom he loves.

he missed the jaehyun he knew, the one who didn't care and just wanted to have fun.

this one is too mature for him.
