the confused expression then turned to a small smile, a light chuckle escaping from his lips. ❝why would you be looking for daddy when papa is here?

pouting his lips, taeho sunk from his place, having his hands playing with the hem of his pajamas. ❝b-because i always see papa look so sad, and papa is not a sad bean, he is a happy bean.

agreeing with his brother, the youngest of the triplets then snuggled close to their father. ❝what about superhuman, papa?

taehyun then gasped while nodding aggressively, ❝papa's superhuman can be our daddy bean!

since the youngest of them, yoon, was the most fidgety, taeyong had to hold on to the child's pajamas as he was jumping at the edge of the bed. the other hot bean, who's wriggling his other arm as he insisted on his idea, had to be brought closer or he'll roll himself down the bed. since he only had both of his hands to handle the two bouncy kids, taeyong had his gazed settled on the older between them that is just obediently sitting down on his lap, facing him with curious eyes.

then comes the kid's suggestion, making him show that bitter smile. ❝yeah, he would have been your daddy.

their father's statement then made the three of them be stiff snowmans, sensing that there was regret and grief in the man's tone. not long after, they got startled when a tear fell from their parent's eye, but he still wore the smile nonetheless.

taeho was the one who stood up and wipe the tear using the sleeve of his sweatshirt. ❝papa?

a-and i know,❞ laughing it off, taeyong eyed each one of the kids. ❝he would love to have you, three, as his adorable beans.

the only thing keeping his sanity is the thought of how he wouldn't want to see him not appreciate the chance he was given to live.

be happy, he said.

take care of his heart, he said.

they'll meet again, he said.

and even without him, taeyong is still a strong bean, he said.

truthfully speaking, it was damn hard for him. he struggled for so long, more than months, and a year wasn't enough for him. taeyong did his best, he was trying to do well. he wanted to be grateful, to be thankful, to be appreciative— but it can't be held back, he would oftentimes blame himself for what his superhuman had done for him. he kept on having thoughts, if they haven't met, this wouldn't have happened. no one, between them, would have risked their life. he was young, heck, both of them were, yet, he had to make a big decision that would cause his own being.
