Months after the second task Hermione, Ron, and I continued to help Harry practice as much as possible for the third and final task. We didn't know what it could be but we made sure he knew many defensive spells.

When I wasn't practicing with Harry, I spent time with either Cedric or the twins. Today I agreed to meet George, he said it was to help me with my homework but I knew that was just an excuse.

We sat in a secluded corner of the library where we could talk quietly without bothering anyone else. I pulled out paper to write my essay for my Magic History class.

"What are you working on?"George asked.

"Just an essay for History of Magic"

"That class is rough, why focus on the past when there is always the future"He winked.

I let out a slight laugh and continued to write the essay. It wasn't too hard because I was a pretty good student. I agreed with George that it wasn't exactly the most interesting class but I still made sure to pay attention.

Next, I started to work on my charms homework. I was to master a couple of charms we had learned this week including the exploding charm, scouring charm, and opening charm. I decided to start with the opening charm to avoid any damage to the library.

To my right, there was a small chest sitting on the ground. I removed my wand from the pocket of my robe and pointed it directly at the chest. While flicking my wrist I said"Cistem Aperio." Nothing seemed to work so I went over to see if the chest was open. disappointingly it was still locked shut. I tried one more time and got the same outcome.

"Need help with that?"George asked raising one eyebrow"Don't worry Freddie had a bit of trouble with that one at first as well, of course, I got it right away though."

I laughed at him then accepted his help. He walked behind me and put his hand around my own which was still gripped tightly around my wand. I could feel his breath up against my neck and I forgot what I was trying to do for a minute.

"Now try flicking it like this instead, "He said while moving my hand in the correct motion.

I nodded my head and said Cistem Aperio while he was still up against me. A white light flew from my wand and hit the chest causing it to pop open.

I turned around and hugged him tightly"Thanks, Georgie!"

He put his own arms around me and I didn't want to back away. Eventually, I removed my arms but still stood close enough that our chests were nearly touching. I looked straight up into his brown eyes. His hand was brushing through my hair then before I knew it his lips were up against mine. It was passionate and yet gentle at the same time. He quickly backed off as soon as he realized what he had done.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that I know you're wi-"

I put my arms around his neck and started kissing him again before he could finish his sentence. He placed his on hand on my waist and the other on my face. His thumb gently brushed against my cheek. He pulled me in closer until there was zero space between our bodies. We kissed for what felt like a lifetime.

"What about Cedric?"Georgie whispered into my ear.

"He's an amazing guy but...he just doesn't feel...right"I whispered back.

A couple of days later I finally managed to gain enough courage to break up with Cedric. To be honest with you I have barely any courage and I'm still terrified but I have to do this. After that kiss with George and how it felt compared to when Cedric kissed me, it wasn't the same at all.

George and I weren't dating and I didn't know if we would because every time I think about him my mind slowly drifts to Fred, what would he think.

Cedric agreed to meet me outside in the courtyard after class. I felt like I couldn't breathe, what if I break Cedric's heart.

"Hey Lex," Cedric said while walking up to me.

"H-hey" I managed to say.

"Is everything alright?" he appeared concerned.

"Well actually, I have to talk to you about something" I took in a deep breath.

"What is it?"

"Well you are an amazing guy, truthfully I think so"I saw the smile fade from his face, he knew where this was going"I just don't think that we are right for each other, and I'd love to still be friends. But if not I understand."

"I kind of thought that this would happen, I could tell you were very close to the Weasley twins"He sighed and looked to the ground"I hope to still be friends as well, I just need a bit of time."

I nodded my head"I totally understand, I'll see you around."

I walked back to the Gryffindor tower, happy I was able to do that but also I felt bad about having to hurt him like that. I walked through the portrait hole with my eyes looking to the ground.

"Did you do it"I heard a voice say from across the room. I looked up to see George sitting on the couch alone.

"Uh, Yeah, "I said sadly and walked over to sit next to him on the couch.

"How come you are still wearing his ring?"He pointed to the gold chain around my neck.

"I totally forgot that I was wearing it, just became a habit you know. I'll return it to him the next time I see him."I rested my head on his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around me. I didn't expect this to hurt so much since I was the one who had broken it off. A single tear slowly fell from my face as I breathed out shakily.

"It's alright darling, you'll feel  better eventually."

Sorry, this chapter is kind of short but I thought that this and the third task should be separated. I also have like plans for the next chapter and I'm kinda worried that I'm going to be crying while writing it but uh...we'll see I guess.

Also yes two chapters in one day, I just literally can't stop writing. It's so much fun, plus I don't want to make you guys wait too long. I don't know about you but I'm kinda impatient so.

As always, comment your thoughts :)
