It had been three hours since the turtles had ventured deep into the woods. You were sitting on the front porch of the farmhouse, head resting in your hands. You had been nodding off for the last half hour.
You turned on your phone, checking the time. It was nearly 4 AM, and you were starting to get worried. April had brought you a mug of tea about an hour ago, but you hadn't touched it.
You rubbed the sleep from your eyes as the clock neared four-thirty. You were about to call it quits when you heard something coming from the forest.
You willed your vision to come into focus as the turtles triumphantly marched from between the trees. Each individual turtle carrying a banner with what looked like a Japanese character printed on it.
You jumped from where you sat. barreling towards the turtles, arms outstretched as you leapt into Mikey's arms.
"Mikey!" you shouted as he dropped his banner to catch you.
"(Y/N)!"
He spun you around as you laughed with relief. "I was starting to get worried!"
Mikey smiled at you, still holding you in his arms. "There was no reason to be worried. I'm a badass ninja, remember?"
Leo interrupted you both. " As much as I hate to break up this mushy moment, we should all try to get some sleep, because tomorrow, we take back the city."
You followed Leo's orders, trying your hardest to get some sleep. You couldn't help but be nervous. You were going against a whole race of highly-intelligent aliens from another dimension.
You woke up the next morning already in the party wagon, Mikey's arms around you.
"Sorry man, you wouldn't wake up," Mikey said upon noticing you were awake.
You assured Mikey that it was okay, settling into your position in his arms as you sped at breakneck speeds through the streets of the now-abandoned New York City.
