Chapter 7:  Karaoke Night

-Time Skip- Thursday is finally here and Ricky, Red, Ash, and Alice are finishing up for the day.
Ricky: nice fall Alli *laughs*
Alice: Why thank you *laughs*
Ricky: are you sure you're okay? Your neck? Arm?
Red: yeah that looked intense *laughs*
Alice: I'm good, I'm a tough cookie *laughs*
Ashlyn: y'all ready for Karaoke?!
Alice: Hell yeah *laughs* I'm gonna be horrible
Ricky: oh we know *laughs* I love you though
Alice: Love you too
Ashlyn: *shoulders Red*
Alice: So, what time is Nini gonna be there?
Ricky: I told her 7:30
Alice: What time is it right now?
Red: 6:36- oh we gotta go
Ashlyn: yeah, she's gonna be waiting on us
Alice: Oh gosh *laughs*
*we all throw on some clothes then head over*
Ashlyn: hi Nini!
Nini: *I turn around* Hey Ashlyn! Hey everyone!
Ricky: who's this?
Nini: Oh sorry, this is my best friend Kourtney. She asked to come along so I assumed the more the merrier! *laughs*
Alice: oh I think you were at the mall the other day!
Kourtney: That was me *laughs*
Nini: Kourt, meet Ricky, Alice, Red, and Ashlyn. All of you, Kourtney
Ricky: so tell me honestly, do you think Nini can sing?
Kourtney: *laughs* If I'm being honest, she's pretty good
Nini: Kourt!
Ricky: knew it *laughs*
Ash: Red and I will go get drinks
Nini: Ooh something strong for me!
Ashlyn: something strong for everyone *laughs* that's why we are here
Alice: You driving tonight Ricky?
Ricky: fine *laughs*
Kourtney: Same *laughs* it can suck sometimes. But we'll remember everything and be able to make fun of whoever we please tomorrow
Nini: Are you teaming up with my surf instructor?
Kourtney: I am. It's called being responsible
Ricky: *laughs*

Alice: Boringggg *laughs*
Nini: *Don't copy my joke*
Ash and Red: *comes back with a tray of drinks*
Red: we're signed up 1st then Ricky and Alice. *to Kourtney and Nini* if you guys wanna go just put your names in back there *points to sign ups*
Nini: Thanks Red! *I grab a drink* You wanna sign up?
Kourtney: that's why I'm here! I'll go sign us up *gets up*
Nini: *we walk over to the sign ups and I browse the songs* Ooh, can I sing a solo Kourt?
Kourtney: really?! Yes please do!
Nini: *I write down my name and what song I want* Got it
Kourtney: what song are you singing?
Nini: You'll see
*we walk back to the table and watch a few numbers and everyone has a few drinks (expect Ricky and Kourtney of course)*
Dj: And next up is Red and Ash singing Lucky!
Red: *I get up and trip over myself a little bit and Ashlyn helps me up and onto the stage*

Nini: *No one asked you bitch* *I go and sit next to Ricky* So you think I can sing?
Ricky: that's what I said

Ricky: *I scoot towards Alice*
Alice: *My phone rings* I'm gonna head to the bathroom quick, okay?
Ricky: sounds good
Alice: *gets up and walks away*
Nini: *mumbles* bastard
Ricky: mm?

Ashlyn: *to Red* is it bad I wanna follow her
Red: *to Ash* No, because so do I *laughs a little*
Ashlyn: I'm gonna go...
Red: Wait really?
Ashlyn: I don't know should I? If there is something going on Ricky has a right to know right?
Red: Yeah I thi-
Ashlyn: *I get up and go to the bathroom*
Nini: Huh, guess everyone needs to pee *laughs*
Kourtney: so how'd you meet Alice, Ricky?
Ricky: oh she was a student of mine and I guess things just kinda worked out
Nini: Ha ha that's a funny joke *laughs*
Ricky: I didn't-
Kourtney: Shes probably just out of it a bit
Nini: I'm not out of it Kourt, so don't try to tell me I am. I am fully aware of what I'm saying
Ricky: then what's funny?
Nini: That despite your relationship "working out" or whatever, doesn't change the fact that she's cheating on you
Ricky: I'm sorry?
Nini: Holy shit how blind are you? I've known since we were at the dog park last week
Ricky: I don't- I don't know what your talking about
Kourtney: Nini-
Nini: The sneaking away to answer calls and then coming back later all stuttery when you ask her a question? A dead give away. And, Kourt and I heard her at the mall yesterday, something about "telling you soon" or whatever. Point is, your girlfriend isn't who you think she is
Ricky: you know I don't you all that well, why should I believe you?
Nini: Why would I like to you about that?! I'm not a monster!
Ricky: you've had a bunch of shots and just sang an Ariana song.
Nini: Well then fuck you! If you won't listen to me than have fun with your broken relationship! *I get up and walk away*
Ricky: *I look at Kourtney* what is she talking about?
Red: I think she's right
Ricky: Why does everyone think this except me?
Kourtney: Look, I really don't know you, but she's telling the truth. We saw her at the mall yesterday and we heard her on the phone talking to someone. Like she said about telling him soon and that she'll be over next week. Now, I may not be 100% correct, but I really think Nini was on to her.
Ricky: *my face turns red and I look down* how long?
Kourtney: I honestly don't know
Ricky: Alice would never cheat on me- would she?
Red: Ricky I-
Ricky: how do you know about this?
Red: Ash and I kinda started noticing the same things Nini did. We obviously weren't at the mall, but I don't know man
Ricky: she hasn't been acting any different around me
Red: Well that's because she wouldn't want you to find out
Ashlyn: *walks back* she's gone. I can't find her
Red: Ricky, we're really sorry....
Ashlyn: you guys told him?!
Ricky: I thought you guys were my friends. How does every person I care about manage to keep this from me. *To Ash and Ared* Especially you two. You're the only family I have
Ashlyn: Well we didn't know for sure-
Ricky: and Nini, where the hell is she? She was acting so weird with me on Monday. Was it because she knew and thought I was just available?
Red: I don't think we can speak for her
Ricky: Kourtney?
Kourtney: I honestly couldn't tell you, I mean that's just how she is
Ricky: right right right... none of you can give me definite answers.
Red: We just didn-
Ricky: you guys gotta find a way home, I'm leaving *I get up and walk outside*
Nini: *I turn around and see you walk out* Believe me now?
Ricky: I don't want to talk to you
Nini: What's your problem?
Ricky: *I turn toward you* I just found out my girlfriend who I've been with for 18 months is probably cheating on me. And who told me? Some girl I met at a dog park just a week or so ago. I think she's lying until basically my only family admits you might be right. I just, I need to go
Nini: Look, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have told you right there and then, I understand that was shitty of me to do. But I would rather have you never wanna speak to me again, then you be stuck in a one sided relationship that's just a sinking ship. And I'm sorry that no one else said anything, I get it that would suck, but NO ONE ever wants to point out a cheater. So maybe don't be pissed off at the people who actually care, and maybe the one that made this a situation in the first place
Ricky: why do you care? I don't even know you
Nini: You don't need to know someone in order to be a decent human
Ricky: I don't-
Alice: hey guys, what's going on?
Ricky: are you cheating on me?
Alice: Uh- What?
Ricky: are you cheating on me?
Alice: I-I dont know where you heard that umm huh?
Ricky: Nini said she overheard you talking on the phone at the mall with some guy saying you need to tell me something soon. Red and Ash think all these "phone calls to Marie" are actually with some guy. So, are you a fucking cheater? Or is this all some bullshit game?!
