The Husband Mishap Pt. 1

Advanced warning, this may switch POVs quite a bit, apologies. Its also gonna be quite the long one :) [ words]

The 2Moons2 cast (+Extras) take on part of an episode from the British series, Dinnerladies. Rip Victoria Wood 🙏

This Chapter is a combination of Ss2 Ep 5 & 6.

Incase anyone hasn't seen the series, or would like to after reading this (which I recommend, it's a funny series - it's British though, so if English isn't your first language, I'd definitely put subtitles on), here is who each character represents:

Earth is Dolly's role
Dome is Jean's role
Ben is Anita's role
Pavel is Barry's role (Jean's husband)
Nine is Brenda's role
Joong is Tony's role
Yatch is an extra :)
Sammy is Twinkle's role
Ping is Jane's role
Vee is Stan's role
Perth is Norman's role (Delivery man)
Philippa is the Philippa from the series , as is her boyfriend Tom.

{Nine's POV}

Dome sits down with a sigh, Earth turning around in his chair to confront him. "Well I hope you're going to perk up before we hit the shops. I've got two novelty hot-water bottles and some left-handed secateurs to track down by five."

"Secateurs?" Ben questions.

"Gardening shears." Yatch confirms for him.

"I thought you'd done all your Christmas shopping Earth?" Sammy asked.

"I had until two silly fools turned up bearing gifts. That's thrown me right out. Plus, Ben's sister, who usually keeps my present pretty much at Bath cube level, has upgraded me to a coffee grinder!"

"Why, have you opened it already?" I inquire.

"Well how else do I know what price range I'm batting back with?"

Classic.

"I'd done her a hand cream, but I can divert that to the paper boy who I often see when I leave for work sometimes."

"What have you still got to get, Dome?" Ben asks.

"Pavel's still outstanding." he states, sitting more upright in his chair.

"So I believe.." Earth murmurs.

"What does he like doing, Dome?" Ben carries on.

"We all know what Pavel likes doing. He's done it everywhere bar the ironing board according to Pavel himself."

"You're right there Earth." the man himself inputs, earning a chuckle from the rest of us.

"You're hardly ever vertical are you Pavel?" I comment. "Do you panic when you stand up and find something other than Dome in front of you?"

"Ha, ha."

It was our break time and it's nearing Christmas, so of course people are preparing presents. And of course we annoy Dome about his and Pavel's sex life because they often speak about it - they aren't embarrassed.

"Right come on." Dome starts, standing up. "Let's go Earth."

"Are you sorted for Christmas Nine?" Earth asks as he himself also stands up.

"Nothing to sort." I state simply.

I don't really spend Christmas with anyone, nor do I do anything special for it. The most exciting it gets is when I decorate my room, but that's about it. I think it's because I don't have that special someone you know? Plus my love life so far has been a bit.. Uh, complicated so to say.
