Chapter 30

Why didnt i die! I was ready to die! Thats right i chose not to. I ran away from it. 

I look down at my feet and let a tear silently fall. 

~ Derek's Pov~

Somethings wrong with her. Shes not the same. Her heartbeat is slower than normal. I watch her walk back to her bed. As she climbs up, she falls and lays on the floor. Not moving.  I rush to her side and pick her up.

" Emily! Emily! "

I shake her.

" Derek put her up here now! "

I do as im told and quickly put her on the table. 

" Momma!!! "

I look down and pick Alex up. I know im loosing her. i just have this feeling. I wipe a tear out of my eye and give Deaton some room. 

~ Emily's POV ~

What the hell? I cant feel anything. I cant hear anything. I cant see anything. Im just here. Am i dead? 

" No your not dead. Not yet. "

I say " Not yet? What do you mean not yet? "

" You are going to die. They just have to put up a fight before so. "

I say " So where am i? "

" In a comatoes state. "

I say " Im in a coma? "

" Yes. You are. Now pick. "

I say " Pick what? "

I turn my body and see two spot lights. One shines on Alex, Derek and the pack and the other shines on my mother. 

I say " The one with Derek and Alex in it. "

" Very well. "

I say " Why did i need to choose? "

" Its the ones who effected the most. "

I say " What no! no go back! Dont put them through this! please! "

" Its not what you want. Im sorry Emily. "

I scream " Bullshit! Your not sorry! You dont give a shit! "

I hear laughing. I turn around to where the sound comes from. A man around my age stands there. 

I say " Who are you? "

He says " Im the one you would have married if you never met Derek. "

I say " But i did meet Derek. So thats to bad for you. "

He says " It is isnt it. To bad your dead now. "

I say " Im not dead. "

He motions his hand out for me to look at something. I turn my body and see a vision. 

~Derek's POV~

The heart monitor line goes flat. Everyone gasps and goes scilent. I walk out of the room with Alex behind me. She's gone! She's fucking gone! I knew this would happen! I knew i shouldnt of gotten attached. 

" Derek. "

I turn and see Scott with tears in my eyes.

He says " Derek calm down. "

I say " I cant.  "

My breathing is heavy and i know im going to shift. 

" Hey Alex go stay with uncle Liam. "

He nods and runs off. 

I feel my eyes flash. A bright blue. There bright blue. 

" Derek. Listen to me. "

Now im hearing her voice. Great. 

" Der, please. "

I nod, guessing thats what she wants. For the voice to go away.

" Im not dead. Its a poison! Make my heart beat so slow they think im dead. Go in there and prove to them. You can hear it. Please. "

I turn and go into the room. 

I say " Be quiet everyone. "

They all go scilent. I close my eyes and focus on her. She's right there's a heartbeat. 

I say " She has a heartbeat. Very faint but its there. She's not dead. "

" Derek she's gone. Stop trying to say shes no- "

I say " Just listen. Its there. "

 They all close there eyes and listen. I see there eyes widen.

Stiles says " What? What is it there? Was he right? "

Everyone slowly nods. 

I say " Then whats happening? "

" She's in a coma. "

I turn to look at the door. I see Klaus. 

I say " How do you know that? "

He says " Well you see, so much stuff was on her mind. She blacked out and now she's in a coma. You can tell by this. "

He walks over to her and shows her vain sticking out. 

" This shows she is asleep. "

He points to her belly.

" Her breathing shows that she is asleep in some way. "

He holds a finger to her leg. He pokes her ankle. 

" Her moving this every few minutes shows that she' responsive meaning she could wake up soon. Very simple really. "

I say " What makes you say this? "

He says " I have been alive for more than 1,000 years Derek. I had to spend my time doing something. "

I say " So what should be do with her? "

He says " Hook a Iv in her. Keep her somewhere safe. "

" She can stay at my house. "

I look over at Stiles.

I say " No she will go back to my place. "

Stile says " No she wont. Every single villian knows where you to live. Why would you put her in that state? No one knows where i live. "

I say " Your right. Call your dad and ask him if its okay. "

I set Emily on one of the beds in Stile's house. Klaus starts hooking a Iv into her. I love how he can just show up and know how to do everything. I hate him with a passion but hes the reason Emily is alive. Thats all i could ask for right now. 

 I say " Thank you. "

Klaus turns to look at me.

He says " What? "

I say " Thank you. For saving her. "

He says " You think i did this for you? Thats funny really. Come on now. I did this for Alex. I know what its like living without both parent figures. Its not good. Now if you would excuse me. "

I move and he makes his way through me. In a blink of a eye hes gone.
