Adjusting the headphones on my head, I listen to the intro of the song. The distorted harmonies playing in before Ariana sings.

The music fades out before the recording light flicks off.
Looking over, I see a single tear roll down Ariana's cheek and I'm quick to reach over and swipe it away. My hand cupping her cheek as I pull her closer and kiss her forehead.
"You okay?" I ask, softly stroking her cheek with my thumb.
Ariana nods, leaning forward to rest her head on my chest," it just made me a little emotional."
She got emotional when we wrote it as well. Back in New York, after all those interviews, we spread out in her living room and went to work on the song. She said she wanted it to be on her album and that just motivated me even more.
The both of us poured as much emotion into it as possible, letting our love and honesty craft the song. We kept the lyrics from each other until we got to LA. The second we go in the studio with our teams we exchanged lyrics and read them. Ariana teared up then as well.
