chapter 11

"Hi I'm Doctor Singh, I'm doing your investigation, what do you have?"
Paula:" hello first of all uhm I have had a lot of abdominal pain after around 03:40 a.m. and couldn't sleep anymore, and thought it would be better with a cup of tea but it didn't get better so I decide to go here.
I think something is wrong with my Baby. "
Doctor:" what week of pregnancy are you in ?"
Paula:"i am now 21 weeks pregnant"
Doctor: "All right then let's take a look at the baby,
please sit down on the chair there."

Paula went to the chair and gave Tom her handbag,
Paula sat on the chair and cleared her stomach.
Tom stood at the back of Paula's head and put his hand on Paula's shoulder.
The doctor leaned on a chair next to a monitor, he took the gel and said "that could be a bit cold now,
don't be alarmed" paula nodded and looked at Tom who did not move from her side.
The doctor spoke to himself a bit
"mhh where is the baby uhm,
Ah okay there it is uhm ....."
The doctor said he would like to take a blood sample to find out more,
as he cannot actually see anything now
Doctor: "I would like to admit you to the hospital"
Paula nodded,
and looked again at Tom who made a sad face but grinned again very quickly when Paula looked at him.
the doctor gave Paula more cloths to remove the gel from her stomach.
the doctor said "get ready here and then come back to the waiting room"
Tom: "all right, thank you."
The doctor left the room and closed the door.

Paula was still sitting on the chair very scared and got emotional and started to cry Tom went to her and began to hug her
"Why is this happening to us?"
asked Paula
Tom "I don't know darling"
Tom kissed Paula tenderly on the forehead and whispered softly "We'll be fine again darling I love you forever and Always."
Paula noticed how sad Tom is too and said
"I'll always love you, no matter what"
Tom got up from his crouch and pulled Paula off the chair and kissed each other passionately on the mouth.
Paula pulled her t-shirt over her stomach and both went out and left the treatment room and went back to the waiting room , Both sat down and waited for the doctor Paula lay her head on Tom's legs, Tom stroked paula's head.
A nurse came into the waiting room and called Paula
"Mrs Paula duvet" Paula startled from Tom's legs and said
"here"
the nurse said "your room is ready I'll take you there now" Tom and Paula stood up and followed the nurse.
Paula Tom and the nurse walked endless corridors through the hospital and then finally arrived at the mother-child ward,
"come in here " 
said the nurse and opened the door.
The nurse said
"Ms. Duvet you can sit on the bed, the doctor will definitely come back to Dan" Paula replied
"All right, thank you"
the nurse nodded and left the hospital room.

Paula looked at Tom who had already sat down in an armchair he was visibly tired
"Babe you don't have to stay here if you want you can go home"
Tom looked at Paula and said "no, I'll stay with you"
Paula: you really don't have to, you are tired if you want you can go to get me clothes from home, take a shower, take a rest and then come back we've been for 2 hours  here .
Tom: "Okay but you know I don't like doing this,
so leave you alone"
Paula: "It's okay babe." 
Tom got up from the armchair and went over to Paula who was sitting on the bed,
he knelt down to her baby bump and kissed him and said "don't do anything stupid in it"
Paula played with Tom's hair during that time.
  Tom got up again and kissed Paula tenderly on the lips and said
"I love you" Paula repeated what tom said
"I love you too"
Tom walked towards the door, opened it and said again
"I love you darling, take care I'll be back soon"
He left the room and closed the door behind him.
