Kinabukasan ay maaga akong nagising. For the first time since the depressing fraud incident, I actually felt great the moment I woke up. I felt so energetic. Iyon na ata ang pinakamagandang gising ko. Everything was so light like I didn't have any worries at all.

The birdsong which used to greet me every morning sounded more beautiful. The sky was clear without any obstruction from the clouds. It reminded me of the vast ocean. It seemed to stretch on endlessly, like it had no end.

Warm sunlight poured on me as I stretched my arms in front of the window like what I always do in the morning. A bright smile was plastered on my face, recalling the conversation I had with Ike.

I could still remember how close his face was with mine. His hot and minty breath also touched my face softly as he spoke. His eyes brimming with sincerity and pure intentions, brought a rush of heat to my cheeks.

In between our silence, I heard my heart unusually pounding loud and hard. Although, I couldn't really figure out the cause. It was like I was searching for answers underwater where it suddenly became hazy because of strong currents.

We stayed on that secluded area until the sun finally dipped in the sea. The sky was dyed in twilight colors, showing how beautiful it could get before it gets painted in black.

After a few minutes of stretching, I exhaled a deep sigh.

Ike told me that he would do anything to make me say yes. To be honest, I was eagerly anticipating what his ways could be. I guessed it was one of the reasons why I suddenly had a lot of energy. I could finally feel a change in my life because there was something to look forward to.

Pagkalabas ko sa aking kuwarto ay naririnig ko pa ang pag-agos ng tubig sa banyo. Dahil mas maaga akong nagising sa talagang oras ng aking paggising ay naabutan ko pang naliligo si Auntie Divina.

Lumapit ako sa lababo sa aming kusina at doon na ako naghilamos ng aking mukha. I lightly dabbed a facial tissue on my face to dry myself. Pagkatapos ay kumuha ako ng mailulutong umagahan sa ref. Napagdesisyunan kong magluto na lamang ng sinangag, piritong itlog, at longganisa.

I cooked breakfast just enough for three people. Sometimes Gian would randomly come here for breakfast before going to work because their mansion was just walking distance. Nasanay na kaming magluto ni Auntie Divina para sa aming tatlo. Kapag hindi naman siya dumadating ay ayon na ang kinakain ko tuwing tanghalian.

"Oh! Mas maaga ka atang nagising ngayon." Basa pa ang buhok ni Auntie Divina nang pumunta sa kusina. She was already wearing her uniform while combing her damp hair.

Ngumiti na lamang ako kay Auntie Divina at hindi na iyon pinabulaanan. I didn't want her curiosity to spike up. Hindi ko alam kung tamang oras na ba upang sabihin ko sa kanya ang patungkol sa offer sa akin ni Ike. I was afraid that she might think of it the wrong way.

"Ay oo nga pala! Muntik ko nang makalimutan. May turo ka nga pala ngayon, 'di ba?"

Habang hinahain sa hapag ang mga lutong pagkain ay tumango ako. After lunch pa naman 'yon kaya hindi ko kailangang gumising nang maaga. Ngunit dahil iyon na ang naisip ni Auntie Divina na dahilan ay hindi na ako kumontra.

I had a part-time job teaching the son of barangay captain to play guitar. I had been teaching him for almost two months every Saturday of the week. Noong araw na lilipad ako papuntang Maynila ay mayroon dapat kaming session. Mukhang nalaman na rin nila na hindi ako natuloy kaya nagpadala sila ng text noong isang araw kung puwedeng ipagpatuloy ko ang pagtuturo sa kanilang anak.
